Something is seriously wrong here. I live on the east coast of the UK and our water is as hard as nails. Either your dishwasher is setup for the wrong hardness setting, you're not using salt, or not using specific dishwasher salt (table-salt ect.) My dishwasher is set up correctly and I never, ever have seen a water mark. Edit: Using rinse aid at the correct dosage will help some also.

I tried to use a new environmental friendly dishwasher detergent (without phosphate) and that in combination with the water conditions in the area where I live created the craziest amount of limescale in my dishwasher just over 2 days. I hope this product helps removing the limescale and def going back to my old detergent that actually cleans and doesn’t damage my dishwasher.

you need to use special salt for your dishwasher, and dosificate acording to user manual. In my area i need to put in 4 my diswasher whirlpool, and i use brand sun by unilever, is perfect! salt, powder, rinse aid, pods etc... ( i learning english, sorry if i said bad any word)

Definitely did something correctly. Ofc it is best to avoid that amount of limescale in the first place.

Why would you need to run a 6 hr drying cycle? Fair enough if you want to run a 3 hr wash ( which I wouldn’t anyway) but what exactly are you drying for 6 hrs? Just run a wash, dry the inside with a soft cloth & leave the door slightly open for a while.

I think those lights are also used as indicators when choosing the Delay function 3/6/9 hours

I can only assume 1:10 is to set a timer delay before starting so you can set it up overnight or something, not how long it actually takes to finish!

Do you not use salt in it? That might be the reason for all the lime scale in the first place?

Yes. Hard water. I had to set the salt dosage to the maximum. kzitem.info/news/bejne/25ia14Noa35momk

I use a water softener pre-dishwasher and you don't get linescale. As long as you use tabs that contain some salt you're gold.

I tried to use this product in my dishwasher. Put programme to the highest heat 65 degrees. At end of prog none of the liquid had seeped through . How can I rectify this? I also tried it a second time but again without success. Help ?
@rixlan

65 degrees isn't very hot. Most washers clean at 120 degrees.
@NickyMabbs

@@rixlan Pretty certain you’re talking about Fahrenheit whereas Mary is talking about Celsius, at which 65 degrees would be close to the top end of the spectrum. If it were 120 degrees C then the dishes would be steamed & the dishwasher would be ready for the scrap-heap.

Do u let the water get hot before u start the dishwasher? If it isn't melting the wax, it isn't getting hot enough.

Twice a year is enough if you can't see any impurities. If dirt is visible, it should also be washed. Filters after a few uses of the dishwasher.

The new Green Energy dishwashers are the reason not getting clean dishes. For those folks that have "green save the climate" dishwashers that don't clean..... Here's a tip: You have to run your hot water in your sink before you start dishwasher and let it run until it starts full cycle then you can shut off sink water faucet....this does help greatly. Now....8 hours later when your green energy dishwasher shuts off, dishes should be cleaner. Hhmm and we wonder about these " "green" appliances?

Not all dishwashers are connected to hot taps. In Australia most are usually connected to cold water and the machine heats the water nice and hot. Mine gets above 70C even if the water is very cold.

You do everything different in USA, but most parts of world dishwasher, washing machine etc use cold water and the machine heats water to correct temp. Maybe the concept was not passed on like the concept of a kettle.
