I love the LS swap especially if it is a truly daily driver not a car show only car. It's an ugly engine but all modern engines are. You're absolutely correct on the drive shaft shortening. Great site.

Back in 65, my first car was a 56 Belair w/a power pack engine. it was pristine with 45K miles on her.... Great memories... Russ

This old Chevrolet needs to be a Tri-Five Nationals ant Bowling Green Kentucky next year. Great Build loved every minute and like the looks of an old mans car with the sound of excitement. A+++++

Brent is hard worker a jack of all trades, it doesn't take much to injury your back, you need a young apprentice or friends to help you lift heavy items. Thanks for passing on your knowledge thur your experience.

Never could figure out if I liked the 55 or 56 front end. I owned a 57 convertable once. But that's a nice ride. Every day special with that running gear. Nice. Well done.

That's a pretty slick trick installing those universal bearing caps, you made that look easy. Funny thing, I hate to admit.., I have all the C-clamps, impact guns and still used a bench vise, hammer and socket lol . Thanks for the tip. I also like how you factored in an inch of slip yoke end play going into the transmission before shortening the tube, that's as good as it gets👍👍 Good job brother.

when I had the car on jack stands I put a spare slip yoke in the trans an inch out then measured for my driveshaft from cap to cap.

yeah there just on the lower rad hose in the housing where the heater hoses connect to.

Keep the 4dr, just drop it some and fab some rear skirts. Cool that these 4.8, 5.3, and 6.0 engines are living on in custom builds!

Such a great job. Your so even keel working on them. I try to be the same. My gf asked if i ever get mad working on vehicles. I tell her they are just bolts and nuts. They cant get mad. They dont know any better😂😂

The 56 Chevy is a great looking car, even as a 4 door sedan. I have to spend a lot longer than you to get a project up and running. I like to watch you work, though. All the best. Mart in the UK.

Many options on mounting a trans cooler, on each side of radiator, race cars use behind the transmission also available along the frame rails.

She sits like she's got a trunk load of shine. I was surprised by the cherry bombs. They don't seem to have that deep rumble I was expecting. Probably because they are so skinny. Just 2/3rds the diameter of the originals. The posi seems to hook up well. Thanks for posting.
