This video is on the Finnish copy of the Swedish m37/65. This would be the second iteration of this helmet borrowed from Sweden. Finland would receive in 1939 many m37 helmets as aid for the winter war against the Soviet Union. In 1940 finland would begin making their own m37 helmet copies called the m40 out of heavier materials then the Swedish m37 and in a green color as opposed to Swedish grey. In the 60’s finland would get the rights to produce the m37/65 helmet from Sweden with the new suspension liner as opposed to the leather pads on the old m37 and m40’s. The new Finnish m60 as it would be called would be in a grey color where the Swedish m37/65 would be in a green color. Finland would buy Swedish m37/65’s until production could be ramped up. The finish m60 helmet would see service well into the 2010’s with the Finnish military. I do have video on the Swedish m37/65 if you would like to compare the differences. Hopefully you liked this video and subscribed if you like this sort of stuff.
