Is it supposed to protect against an arc fault? I doubt it would, high voltage dc arcs are pretty brutal 😅

I suppose it could have been a marketing thing that didn't work. Hence nobody doing it in current times ;).

Just another trick for fooling clients. I had an incident like a shorted inverter, the whole current was more than 60A, the fuses should blown up..but I believe the panels took the strain, so everything was ok.Of course the cables a little warm , but no fire! That's nice about solar panels, as long there is no batteries or energy accumulator it can survive shorts without any fire hazard.

I had an uncle with a metal plate in his head for protection, not sure it helped him either. Was wondering about something. I looked at your website but I didn't see any complete systems like in some of your videos. Do you just build those on request?

Ha ha, hopefully it did him more good than this solar panel. Regarding the complete builds, getting them up on my website is definitely on my todo list! I actually have a system in a cabinet at the warehouse right now I'm putting together to sell. I know it's so much easier to browse a website but feel free to message me and I can provide the details. Or we can work out something custom! As you've probably guessed I get bored doing the same thing more than twice.

@@supremeautomotive6749 I had bought one you’re talking about. Don’t think I ended up testing it though. If I were to choose right now I’d go with the ampinvt. Supports higher battery voltages and fairly certain it’s more configurable. The powmr is not a touch screen afaik. It does have WiFi capability though.
