Snowflake, I don't babysit pipe I do sprinklers, it's 54 floors ,I ran the job from ground up ,I didn't need or have anyone to tell me what to do ,I do whatever da fuq I want on my jobs ,always finish ahead schedule with the highest quality. @Michael Eastman you're assuming this is how I work everyday, You wrong and you mentioned all the ppe, that's a sign of those that says they good worker in the end of the day they don't know shit .I see that alot

It's 32 story building in Manhattan, I was using an awesome equipment, ¼ inch bit and concrete Sammy's, it was 100 degrees that day,once I start drilling I won't even look up anymore, it's like a sniper shot ,once you pull that trigger, you don't even need to look back

Esos ducto en NY tiene oscilación en el lado de adentro, en NY todo los ductos tiene 1" de oscilacion adentro, muy mejor asi.

If using CPVC it takes between 3-4 days iron takes about week and half or two weeks ,we're talking about 15-20 heads maybe more if there's basement and attic.

Quality is def a long stretch bub. You hand tighten rods in the anchors. Enough said. Would have taken a few extra seconds to take some channellocks and tighten it down properly. But you don’t babysit pipe you do sprinklers lol. Whatever that means 🤣🤣🤣

No you can tell they ain’t doing field welds by that sticker on the pipe. That’s a fab shop’s label sticker. Most likely Neill/LIP/Bruce supply since it’s NYC.

It varies with your xp and from company to company but it will be in between $35 - $60 per hour

How’s that work? Your part of a combo local in Canada with pipe fitters and plumbers. They send you to work for a mechanical contractor. One day your helping the plumbers next day your helping the steamfitters next day your relocating sprinkler heads. Wonder what your training like. 🤦♂️

We are one union yes but each trade is separate contracts and rates and I have never not had work in sprinklers but some guys will get call outs to go pipefitting when sprinklers slow down. And our training is great we have free courses available through our union hall on every aspect of sprinklers specialty systems fire pumps testing and maintenance etc.

You also are only required to paint Mains/risers/cross-mains. So a floor’s branch lines wouldn’t be painted even if exposed.
