House fires typically heat up to c1500 degrees C, I suspect that’s much higher than your torch.

My understanding is even PIR will ignite at 400 degree's Celsius and a typical house fire will be >400.

I've been to numerous flat fires where Polystyrene was used on the exterior face and the damage was minimal, helped in part by the firebreak. Years ago Polystyrene would blaze quite rapidly, a change in its Chemical composition, makes it no longer capable of holding a flame.

When u say "fire break" are u referring to a physical obstruction between areas on the facade? Ie, start stop of panels .. rather than continous panel of exposed EPS Thanks

@@fdggfgdfgd251Yes measured in height for the amount of flame that could come from the next panel down and so on. Usually 300mm above window height on the floor plan

The fire spreading depends on O2 intake speed. Even Al alloys can burn.

This type of test is not relevant. There are many examples (on KZitem) of blazing buildings that are clad with EPS, XPS, PIR and PUR insulations. The safest non-combustible insulation is still Stone Wool.
