I just love Don Spencer's voice!!! We need more singers who have a great range and can sing clearly. Thank you, Australia, for producing him.

This is the best! I haven't heard this since I was a little kid! This show sparked my imagination. I even had the the toy Fireball XL5 ship. I must have played this song a million times in the last wek since rediscovering it. The 50's/early 60's had the best music, and this was one of the best from one of the best shows. Thanks for taking me back in time! Long Live FIREBALL XL5. Cheers, Marc

I grew up loving Fireball XL5, got all the Supermarionation DVDs, and then half a century later discovered that the theme song has a third verse!! It’s so poignant, it brings a lump to my throat every time… it’s all imagination, we’ll never reach the stars…

Fireball XL5 was my introduction (around 10 years old) to the wonderful world of the Andersons and science fiction fantasy. As far as I am concerned, there has never been anything quite like it. Even to this day, the music they used in their shows still holds tremendous magic - in particular Fireball and Stingray (Marina). I do so wish they would bring these shows back onto TV.

Actually, there were two eras of music in the 1960's. This is the 1950's type 60's. None of the crap from the middle and late 60's in this great song! Long live 1950's and early 1960's Rock & Roll! Long live FIREBALL XL5!

I had this 45 when it came out, I'm All Alone Again on the flip side, both songs produced by Robert Stigwood. The flip was a little incongruous I thought, not really 'spaceman' material, but it sparked a liking for those melancholy songs in me!

Harrato33 - The Other side of the UK release on HMV is a song called "I'm All Alone Again". From memory Robert Stigwood had something to do with this track and he went on to work with the Bee Gees on Saturday Night Fever and Grease.
