Very well worded. I agree completely. For someone who has spent years researching tudor figures, they failed to discuss the very premise of Catherine's story in this film. Not once were we told clearly what Catherine's sacred beliefs were, or what Henry hated specifically about her beliefs. It was just "oh, i have this book i published i want the public to read, but i wont tell you what i want them to read." Also i could type here for hours about the long, long list of historical inaccuracies and parts of the story they left out, such as her brother and sister who played prominent roles at court. Having said that, literally everything else but the story was perfect. The acting, the set design, the costume, the casting... really impressive. I hope jude law got an award for playing Henry VIII - he was as disgusting, paranoid, tyrannical and terrifyingly unpredictable as Henry VIII was believed to be in his final years

@dondonfilms2005 yes, most if not ALL the important parts they glanced over as to what Catherine's motivations were which is how I came to the realization that the director, whose not a Christian, doesn't understand what the differences were between Catholicism and the Orthodox beliefs.

....and in a most scary way he even conveyed his love for Catherine. His fear of having to kill her.
