We spoke to his nearest challenger, Andretti Global’s Kyle Kirkwood, who earned his best qualifying position of the year, and also caught up with David Malukas, who has returned to the series and impressed the Meyer Shank Racing team with 12th on the grid, despite still recovering from his preseason wrist injury.
