This was an interesting experiment. It's good to know the FFADO drivers will be alive and kicking for future generations. 00:00 Intro 00:11 PipeWire / FFADO history 01:08 Setup 01:21 Check PipeWire version 01:31 Install packages 01:44 Configure rtprio, niceness, and memlock 01:53 Add user to pipewire group 01:58 Disable ALSA drivers 02:18 Configure PipeWire FFADO module 02:36 Testing 02:39 Round-trip latency 02:56 Desktop audio 03:17 Digital audio workstations 03:32 Verdict

Those are great news. I've been using Linux Mint 22 (since the Beta) using pipewire/FFADO and jack (not emulation) by installing Ubuntu Studio Audio configuration from the Mint Repo. It works just fine. Both Ubuntu Studio and Linux Mint 22 work fine with FFADO and Pipewire. Latency is better than pulse audio but not that of a huge but at least is working. For those who love mint and ubuntu. It is a great flavor to add. A hello from Brasil. P.S. I tried to do all these steps you showed with Debian and did not work.

Debian ships with PipeWire 0.3.6 so that's not a surprise :)
