You are getting it worked out. That conveyors a nice touch. I built a bracket that bolts to the bar like yours but it's a square tube that slips into another tube. That way you don't have to unbolt it to fill with fuel and oil. I have it on a recent video. Simple and will save you a bit more time. Great job Matt.

Love what you chaps are doing. I'm the same ilk, less work less cost attitude. Lots of things I see that could help you with this but first would be: Build your self a flat surface to stand and walk on all along the length of your roller table. believe me a level surface to walk along all day will save your body.

Nice simple setup. The only thing I see is you could possibly work on slowing the conveyor down., another shaft and pulley then a smaller motor. You may be able to operate the electric saw and conveyor at the same time.

nice video, wondering why you dont have the wood covered? does it not rain very much where you live?
@FirewoodontheHill

It does rain but once it rains it only takes a day for it to dry back out. The rain actually helps seasoned the wood as it makes it crack more.

So I tried the rollers on my table...made life allot harder,what I'm cutting has branch numbs sticking out, it is 14-16' long, and normally 12-16" diameter. I have the winch to pull it but what would happen is the branch numbs sticking out even if they were all flush still changes the edge of the tree just enough so when I go to stop at 16 is the numbs on the bottom we on a roller the log went forward 2" now it's 18, if I pushed it back that same numb is on the sa e roller and it goes to 14. I tried it for a couple hours and determined it wasn't for me. So I sold them in market place a d made $100 lol. The trees here have limbs all the way up on all sides andwhen they get to 12-16" diameter and are 14-16' long they are a bit harder to throw around on the conveyor. Great idea, and concept, it makes sense, it just wasn't for me though. Still looking for the grain conveyor.

Yeah it’s just like a processor, you must have the right wood for it to work. I get enough small clean wood for me to justify it using it.

What do you use for your bracket to hold the chainsaw? Did you buy it or make it?
@FirewoodontheHill

I made it. I got a piece of steel and drilled holes through. It and mounted it on the side of the roller conveyor. I used 1/2 x 3 inch bolt to put through the chainsaw bar and used nyloc nuts to tighten it to the piece of steel.

An electric saw would be nice and quiet but most of them only cut at about half the speed of a petrol saw. You would notice a lot less had been cut at the end of the day with an electric saw. Top video.🦘
