I barely bought one for Black Friday. I don’t have any experience at all creating music but it’s pretty easy to pick up a lot just workin with it for a few hours. I’m still just messin around with all the stock kits to get the hang of it but hope to finally sample and chop up some heat soon.

Great to see your first music in your new studio! Sounds great! Am I allowed to ask how you manage to put out sampling beats without getting youtube copyright issues? I come from the similar musical background but so far restricted myself to original composition only, because I am afraid to get my channel closed through copyright issues =/ Do you have any tipps on how to structure a beat making video like this to avoid issues like that? cheers!
@AccurateBeats
2 жыл бұрын
I often use samples from Tracklib.com which gives me the possibility to clear the sample legally which is really handy. For sampling vinyl like this, I just cut things up a lot and that seems to work pretty well. I’ve gotten copyright claims where the revenue for a video just goes straight to the rights owner and I’ve had one real copyright strike in the past… No one’s perfecta but my recommendation is to use a legitimate source or sample yourself…

Congratz on your new studio and keep up making great videos! A critical note though: As much as I really like watching your process to get a beat along, the scratching part someway always sounds like a kind of a cheesy afterthought. Not sure why that is tbh. Maybe it's a much more critical process to make sound right and your scratching technique is rather limited. On the other hand, I've seen basic baby scratching techniques used to great effect, so maybe it's the choice of scratching phrases that are used. Or maybe you should use it more sparsely, I don't know. I would recommend at least being more considerate with this scratching part of making a track because it has the potential of messing up your beat-making work.
