Looks a lot better! It is recommended though that you change your shocks and struts when you lower a car or your ride may be rough or bouncy. Also remember to get an alignment.

Thanks! The ride is a lot stiffer now and I was considering whether to change the shocks or not. I don't think they have ever been done and the car is almost 18yrs old now, so definitely overdue! Do you think I really need an alignment for what (If I remember correctly) is only a 10 to 20mm ride height drop? Thanks, Phil

Great detailed video and car looks better now too. Going to have Eibach springs fitted to my 35is Z4 in a couple of weeks

Thanks! TBH I feel a bit sad now because I sold my CSL rep wheels. The Z4m coupe is a fickle beast and the larger wheels with lower profile tyres (plus offsets change slightly) made it tramline badly, so I'm back on the standard wheels. I still like my Eibach springs though! I think they will make a difference on your car too 👍 Thanks, Phil

Those are m359 wheels as seen on the e9x M3 and 1M, not CSL’s ;)

Thanks! I actually just learned this myself recently! I've been obsessed with the E46 M3 CSL wheels for years and then accidentally bought M359's! Ironically, I prefer the M359's they're clearly an evolution of the original CSL style wheels... BUT I didn't like the offsets and the Z4M didn't like the 19" wheels (tramlining, harsh ride etc) so they've gone. I'm back to the original wheels for now.

I think you're right! The shocks are starting to get tired and they were never the best set up in the first place! Problem is, good aftermarket replacement costs a fortune, can't make up my mind what to buy... Cheers, Phil

Just jackk up the car using the front rubber pad and then put a axle stand under the rear rubber pad and other way round for the front. This way is really unnecessary

Always up for new idea but won't you have to lift the front a long way up before you can get a stand under the rear jacking points? Why is that easier than lifting at the back and then supporting at the back & then lifting at the front and supporting at the front? Cheers!

@@ReviveMyRide no I thought that but it is doable. Unless you are rasing the car a crazy amount it is actually stiff enough to raise the rear enough to put a stand under using the front jacking pad. You can only do one jack stand at a time but I find it easier and quicker especially for front.
