The one and only Fred Nelson III. His father also played there for many years. If memory serves me his father is on the other organ. Note: Kenneth Morris who played for First Church in the late 30's and 40'swas the first person to play the Hammond B3 in a church and it was played at First Church of Deliverance in 1938

May God Bless you!!! This is sooo reminiscent of the 60's and 70's when this was the most angelic of choirs!!! Oh to be blessed with the singing portion of this great rendition!!! Please post more from this era!!! Absolutely enriched with the Preachers teaching and prayers!!! The medleys that Fred II & III, and Charles Miller used to accompany the pastor with were so heartfelt!!! Fill our cups till they overflow!!!!

@fstanley35 First Deliverance was the very first church to allow the organ to be played. The organ was only played in movie theatres and ball parks at the time. Kenneth Morris convinced the founder Rev. Cobbs to try it on a sort of trial basis and he went along with it. He and the church was scrutinized heavily but lok for a church without an organ today lol!!!

@Gospeljdb I am so sorry I thought that the video included her singing, I will fix this soon however there is a video on here of Virginia Johnson singing this same song. Thank you so much and continue enjoying First Church of Deliverance videos.

I wish I grew up in this time period. What was the significance of the right hand in the air as the choir processed into the sanctuary?

The right hand held in the air as the choir marched is a salute to the Altar were we recognized the presence of God is located.
