I started using the zip tie method last spring they work. I keep mine so I can rotate it backward so when I load my saws into my carryall with fuel jugs and oil jugs and tool box that everything fits. My ties are big beefy ones. I enjoy the wood cats 🐈 there more tame than the feral cats I have. I think I’m down to 12 cats now, in the spring there will be more. Keep on cutting

Great video, now that you have 3 dump trailers you should put the smaller cut wood in the back of one of them and back it up to the splitter that way you don't have to move it again and again when splitting with the Easton. Or if the conveyor is lower to the ground then the trailer and can handle it you could put the smaller cut wood on the conveyor and let it stack the wood on the trailer and out of your way. Just and Idea, I have and extra truck and that is what I do, put the cut wood in the truck and take it to the splitter, pick it up once or twice instead of 3 or 4 times. Keep up the good videos.

Thanks for the review on the whiskers. The pro sizer measurement is very dependent on how you line up your bar to the log. If you use the tip of the bar it will size up a long round, if you measure from the dogs then it cuts a short piece. Hard to maneuver in a log pile and always measure consistently. I think I will do both the pro sizer and the whiskers. Being able to compare the two should be helpful

As I get older I think back of the work it was. We would cut and split dry wood; and fill up two hay wagons in the morning - eat a Homemade farm lunch and cut two loads in the afternoon. Unload and stack all the wood in a Pole Barn made for the storage of firewood. Now everything is automated. Just stacking now. I got a little age on me so I just stack a little. Cost of the 2 was not a Bank breaker, and I bought a 3 year extended warranty on the Splitter for reasonable $$. Stupid question, why aren’t you using the large wood processor for that perfect sized lumber?
@jeanvaljohn3921
Жыл бұрын
All wood does not work well in the big processor, A lot of the wood that the tree service provides must still be bucked and split with the other tools

Oversized, undersized, crooked, crotchy, logs do not do well in it so the small stuff and real big stuff gets hand (saw) cut and the nasty stuff too. The processor will run soon!

Nice new saw hands down best saw for the money on my 572’s I run a 8 pin sprocket on a 20 inch .058 Oregon bar and chain and put a plug on depression button gained 10 percent power and 10 percent chain speed makes a 572 almost as fast as it’s big brother 592 with 7 pin sprocket with 24 inch bar

Have you considered the 592? I have a Stihl ms 261 I’d like a ms 500 but I see slot of guys like husky’s too and the local Stihl dealer closed so we only have husky dealer left I want a bigger saw to speed up the cutting time so I wonder if the 572 would be enough of s upgrade ? It seems there is no inbetween the 592 and 572 and it’s a huge Jump from s 70 to s 90 cc but I’m at a 50cc now Thanks for ur input

If you watch some of my other 991 other videos you will see I have a 592 3120 2-576 3-572 and I have ran most other saws on my channel from echo,stihl and HUSQVARNA . The 592 is by far my favorite one.

Never ceases to amaze me how eager the comments sections are to spend other people's money, lol. Be glad you arent farming- those cool toys often cost more than most houses. Easily running into the $100's of thousands. The comment section still hounds them to buy the kewlest new machine though. " You planning on buying it for me??"

@@InTheWoodyard So you should buy one of those nuisance minder apps, and then forget them! Oh! And don't forget to oil the slide on the Ultra! You should try veg oil. Old guys worry about that stuff!! I add a teaspoon or so to the cat and dog food, each, and I think you should too! Keeps their coat shiny and their claws sharp! Sounds like you need a little yoga and meditation! Kill two birds - think about Yogi!! In German, gefahrten means get busy, or get to work, so get to fahrten! Hope this helps, since you want very old people telling you what to do and buy!! Too bad I don't live closer!! GNI
