I love it, I own 4 TMs and love them. I’ve got a 19 300 MX two stroke, a 2009 450 MXF, 03 125 MX and a 2002 300 MX two stroke. Love them all. I would like to get a 300 EN in pink. If you could help me or point me in the right direction to get one, I would be grateful. I would trade you all four of my bikes for yours.

couldn't you change the colours after youve bought it cause it only costs £850 in the uk
@roostafish961
Жыл бұрын
I almost did that, but the more I looked, the more I saw. There are a bunch of gold/bronze bits all over, which I guess isn’t a huge deal, but changing the blue seat over to purple, and then needing to switch out the blue rims made it worth getting the limited edition for me. And it was available with a carburetor, bonus.

@roostafish961 personally, I'm probably going to change it. I'll buy it for the price, then learn everything about bikes through it and change some colours

Fortunately TM is making all the LE bits available to anyone with the proper VIN.

@@roostafish961 that’s good but in 10-20 years there will be few parts available I had 1999 tm 250 and parts where fairly expensive I would be paying 200-300€ for a top end compared to to cr 250 you would be paying around €90

@@hubertkam7647 true. That’s why I want to get the full kit now and store it. I also have a 2001 TM, and it’s not impossible to get all the right stuff for, just not common. Fortunately, during those years, there were a few parts that actually crossed over with other bikes.

Does the PV do the same thing your FI bike did when you shut it off?
@roostafish961

Yes it does. The carbureted bike hides it well though. You could probably buy a carb bike and never even know it’s happening. I’m cued into it though and know what I’m hearing. I will be installing the switch.

@@roostafish961 Thank you for your honesty Mike and I know you have the fix. I just can't comprehend how the fi and carb bikes do this and the factory does nothing about it. For this reason alone, I stopped looking at TM. If the bike had a warranty in the US I might think differently. BTW, your vintage bikes are awesome.

@@williamcrotts7054 thank you. We have about 30 vintage bikes. Some of them are not as awesome. I am in no way affiliated with TM. I happened to get one when no other two strokes were available and I love it. I loved it enough to get another. That’s not to say there aren’t issues. Heck, most bikes I’ve had, have an issue or two that needs addressing. At least it didn’t have an air fork collapse on me and injure both of my wrists like my last KTM, took me out for six months. I’m puzzled by the lack of interest of TM to fix the issue as well. Whoever does the coding could fix it easily, or they could even just add an ignition switch. Either way, I’ll be adding the switch to mine, and making them for anyone who wants them. My hope is to help anyone who has a TM make it work as well as it can for them. The bike is brilliant, and worth having. It certainly performs!

It may be, but it’s a throw back to 1993. It was polarizing then too. If you could see the 1993 it would be clear what they’re doing here. People love it or hate it. I love it.
