You truly keep me playing golf seeing how hard others and myself are while playing.. still learning how to gage my irons..

The swing weight being at D0 is important. But I have also read that if you are pulling everything, to add a bit more weight and that the head is too light. If hitting right it's too heavy, just takes trial and error around that swing weight to get it going straight

Are you still using this shaft?

Check out the Otto Phlex thread on golfwrx. My SS is 115 with driver, and ended up going with a $50 Grafalloy Pro Launch Blue in 44g, R flex playing at 47.5”. Took a few swings to get the timing down, but don’t see myself going back to my $300 custom fit Fuji shaft.

Welcome to the OP club! 😜 Actually the OG thread is on MGS and then trickled out to WRX and a few others. I know because I wrote it 😁

@@AZstu324 hey Stu, Thanks so much for your contribution! It has completely changed my long game. Are you still playing an OP shaft?

@@MEAT0 oh yes I'm still gaming it and have no plans to go back any time soon 😁. I've even tried various shafts similar to my previous gamer just for kicks and nothing makes me nearly as happy as the PLB OP.

You MUST get the swing weight where others have stated otherwise you're just wasting your time and money. What length are you playing the club?

Always been curious about trying this shaft. If anything it shouldn’t be a tough resell on eBay if you end up not gaming it

Would love to see you play CVR (Carmel Valley Ranch). I just played it today and its a fun track! Definitely challenging. I was able to get on for 54$ with a cart!

@@GolfParfection definitely tight! Great scenery! If you are ever interested, I work up in the Santa Lucia Preserve and am able to play the course there. If you ever want to get up on another private course! Very pure

I just got the Autoflex Dream. I was fitted, and the fitter chose the flex for a swing that is 10-15 mph higher than mine. I have it at 46 inches and I just kill it. Easy 20 yards and now my friends are shopping Autoflex. D1 SW.

In order for the shaft to work correctly you have to have lighten the head weight. C8-D0. You will have to try and see what works best for you but almost everyone has best results with lighter weight

Do you get fitted when you buy the shaft or do you order based on your swing speed from their website? Maybe you got a shaft flex too soft for you? And their website sells them for $790!!

I emailed the company with my club head speed average in track man and told them my driver I play. They came back and just said the shaft that falls in range (sf505x) was the one I wanted. So no did not get fitted just went of company recommendation.

My club maker sent me an Autoflex and a Brava. Three times on the range and 18 holes caused me to send the Autoflex back. The Brava is as long and much easier to time. IMO

@@GolfParfection I’ve sent back the Autoflex and 85mph Brava. He then sent me the A flex Brava (75 mph) flex. I swing 85-91. I liked this flex better than the two previous shafts but none of these three come close to my two Project X Evenflow Riptide 5.5 shafts. One is CB and the other is Small batch. The SB is in the Mizuno St-Z 220. Longer and much easier to keep in fairways. I’m NOT a fast transition guy

Your transition is too quick. AF works great for smooth transitions. Question: Can I assume you have played both the pink and special edition shaft? I've tried both and the Special Edition just seems a tad stiffer and straighter than the pink shaft.
@GolfParfection

I've only played the special edition shaft so I couldn't tell you. But yeah I have read that using AF requires that smooth swing transition which is what I don't have haha.

Good information on this shaft. Can't imagine spending 650 for an extra 15 yards. I hope to see what you will get with it as you use it more. Let me know when you find the Guaranteed Hole-In-One shaft. I might spend some good money on that. Great video. I might suggest adding yourself in the lower right corner more often in your videos. I thought that was awesome.

Yep. And when you swing hard it’s going to go left because the shaft is “drooping” and you’re hitting it off the toe- check the TXG videos with Blois hitting to confirm. Just need to line up more towards the heel to fix that. Stock weight is too heavy to be playing for that shaft as well.
