Good evening Dawn and happy that you enjoyed the video. Oh that is a wonderful harvest amount. Unfortunately I can't share my elderberry syrup recipe due to tweaking it for several years and getting it just right. Once in a while we have to have a few trade secrets.😉 Your welcome and hope you and your family are doing well. Take care and have a blessed day ahead.❤️🍀🦉 Blessings, Teresa

Good evening Angel and happy that you enjoyed the video. Yes they truly are beautiful and love when they glisten in the sunlight as you harvest them. They also have a beautiful earthy scent when ripe. Yes in to cleaning them which is time consuming but worth every second spent. Good evening Red and happy that you enjoyed the video. Oh believe me we were beyond thankful for this huge first harvest. Lucky that the birds hadn't beat us to them too badly. Oh speaking of that old patch we just decided to drive by there. There is a good chance by this weekend some will be able to harvest. Thankfully a bunch of them have grown back and are loaded. So hopefully we will be able to harvest from them once again.😁 Going to be a whole lot of tincture, syrup and hopefully for once a chance to make elderberry jelly and a pie as well. Take care and have a blessed day ahead.❤️🍀🦉 Blessings, Teresa
That was a great harvest! I don't know where to look for Elderberry around here, but I'm trying to be vigilant. The one plant I started did not make the move. I won't give up though. I am determined to grow my medicine. Thank you for your example and encouragement! Blessings ✌🏾❤️🙏🏾

Good evening Audrey and happy that you enjoyed the video. Yes it was a blessing to be able to get that big of a harvest for the first go around. We ended up harvesting two more bags even more full today. Go looking along country roads were they are less traveled and disturbed areas. Stay positive you will find them.❤️ Your welcome and hope to encourage as many people as possible to go find your medicine. Take care and have a blessed day ahead.❤️🍀🦉 Blessings, Teresa

Good evening darling and happy that you enjoyed the video. Yes we absolutely love elderberries here and go upon the yearly quest of trying to find as many as possible. Looks like this year I might finally get enough to put back for plenty of medicine and actually get a chance to make jelly for a change. Blessings that your elderberry tree grows strong and healthy. Thank you so much and love as well as blessings always sent to you in return.❤️ Take care and have a blessed day ahead.❤️🍀🦉 Blessings, Teresa

Thank you for sharing. You mention your tincture and syrup, are there other ways to use elderberries? Can you eat them right off the plant? Put them in pies, cookies, or anything? Or do they just not do well in these things? Hope you have a wonderful day. Take care. 🙂❤

Good evening Heather and happy that you enjoyed the video. Yes you can use them for many other things. Personally I have to think first about making the medicine from them. What you would call a one track mind.😉 You can make pies, cakes, jelly, jam, wine and so on with them. Personally wouldn't eat them straight off the plant cause they are bitter and if your system is not used to them you can get a upset stomach. Take care and have a blessed day ahead.❤️🍀🦉 Blessings, Teresa

Hey Sister! We have started harvesting our elderberries too, and to be honest, we are fighting with the birds. I'm in the woods, and there's a ton of things for them to eat! Including elderberry bushes that we don't take from. Anyhow, we've found it easy to put them into plastic grocery bags and right into the freezer, then when time allows, de-berry the stems and shake 'em down, so to speak. We take out as many green ones as we can, and honestly, I don't think we've ever had much trouble with side effects from "the ones that got away" - the green ones. It's a process. They pop up when you cook them so you can pull them out and discard then, at least that's been my experience when making syrup. Super easy to grow from cuttings. My Mom used to make jelly and it is my favorite, period. Exceptionally time consuming and a labor of love. I don't make it anymore 'cause I use mine for medicine, from Fall to Spring. Awesome video - thank you!

Good evening Sister and happy that you enjoyed the video. Wonderful to hear that y'all are in elderberry harvest time also. Yes the birds can be a pain at times but thankfully we have found a bunch of big clusters of elderberry trees that no birds have even been to. Personally haven't tried freezing them yet to get the berries off. Yes try my best to get as many stems out and as for the green ones we haven't really had many of them to worry about. Looks like this might be finally the year I have enough to actually get to make jelly. Have a one track mind and all I can think about is gotta make the medicine first.🤣 Your welcome and it makes me happy to hear how much you love my videos. May you be blessed and stay safe and sound up there.❤️ Take care and have a blessed day ahead.❤️🍀🦉 Blessings, Teresa

Are the little fine stems edible? When we made jelly, we always tried to get all the small stems out. The same when my son makes wine from them.

Good evening Cindy and happy that you enjoyed the video. Personally some of the small stems will not hurt you. Over in Europe they batter the whole heads and fry them up eating stems, flowers and all. If you're straining out the pulp after juicing them then you have no worries about the stems. 😉 Take care and have a blessed day ahead.❤️🍀🦉 Blessings, Teresa

Yes I had to ask you if what I heard about it being poison if it’s not cooked unless it is the USA elderberry. The ones that grow here that are from the UK are supposed to be poison. Then I heard they are all poisonous. I didn’t know what to believe. That’s when I asked you because I know you eat or drink it. Thank you. I’d like to learn how to make the syrup and tinctures. What do you use them for? An everyday nutrition?

Good evening Robyn and happy that you enjoyed the video. Oh no I wasn't talking about you darling it was comments we were getting by others while harvesting. To be honest I totally forgot that you had asked me about them. Have several videos on how to make the elderberry tincture in my tinctures playlist and medicinal information in the description box below the video. Unfortunately my elderberry syrup recipe I can't share. Have worked on it for a while and finally have it down to exactly what it needs to be. We take the elderberry tincture religiously twice a day along with my usnea tincture and we are still virus free. Take care and have a blessed day ahead.❤️🍀🦉 Blessings, Teresa

@@OldWaysGardeningandPrepping thank you so much ❤️ I will watch the videos you have available. I have five autoimmune diseases. I’m trying to find trusted natural solutions and immune boosters.
