His acting in Magnolia was just so fantastic. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen another male character that feels as gentle and caring and genuinely goodhearted as he does in that movie.

His scene when he’s on the phone trying to reach Frank. God, the desperation and emotion. Phenomenal.

Very sad that he is gone. Magnolia was just one of his many great films.

I’ve never heard an actor speak of one of their films with such a raw passion. Obviously people will care about the art they’ve contributed to, but PSH is just so genuine and honest in this clip. You can tell that he was in awe of and deeply loved by PTA and this film. He’s not just pushing his movie on a press tour, he truly believes that the work will change audiences lives and, thus, should be experienced by as many people as possible. It’s heartwarming to witness and all artist chase what he felt in that moment. I miss that man.
