This is the 2nd part of a trilogy "Don't Cry" 1st and "Estranged" is 3rd. It's based off the short story "Without You" by Dell James. It's about a young couple and he gets caught cheating. They get married but she can't handle the rumors and commits suicide. The third part is about the rebirth of himself into a better man because of what he did to her. Check out the whole story. Some of the greatest rock ballads of all time. Axl's voice with Slash's guitar ... speaks to the soul!

Yes, true. And if you look at the scene where she's in the coffin, half of her face is blacked out because she shot one side of her face off. I know you probably noticed that, I was just making a statment here for others who didn't catch it.

Actually the correct order is Don't Cry - November Rain - Estranged. It's a video trilogy of which is based on the short story “Without You” by Del James, a friend of Axl Rose and the road manager for Guns N' Roses.

The video took that turn because Axl was dreaming about both their wedding and when he lost her. You see him wake up in a sweat after he's shown standing by her grave. I love this song so much that I can't resist watching it, even though I'm usually in tears by the end because I lost my wife 5 years ago. It's one of the most beautiful rock songs I've ever heard.

@@finnharriess Thank you. It is an amazing song and the thing is, it wouldn't make me feel this way if it wasn't for the video. I'm stubborn, so I refuse to give up this song and many others that make me sad just because they remind me of my wife. I’m so sorry. I lost my husband, the love of my life, in 1996-24 years ago. We married at 22 and I lost him when I was just 24. This is some of the music we loved and listened to. Still crying after all these years. But, I was two weeks pregnant when I lost him. The only thing that kept me going was knowing a part of him was growing inside me. Today our beautiful daughter is 23 and I know, without a doubt, he’s watched over her all these years and remains her guardian angel today. Keep moving forward; someday we’ll all be together again. ❤️

I have been a fan of GnR since Appetite for Destruction first came out, but the Use Your Illusion albums were something very special. November Rain holds a very special place in my heart for personal reasons, aside from the fact that it was a pure masterpiece, both song and video. But Don’t Cry and Estranged also had amazing videos, along with being incredible songs. But Patience is one of the best chill out songs ever. GnR hold their place in history as one of the GOATS for a reason, not just because of the legend that is Slash. There are so many great songs by them, it’s hard to narrow it down to even a few recommendations. But Welcome to the Jungle, Sweet Child o mine and Paradise City are also musts!

Slash's music in this time in GnR was the best i ever seen a guitar player make solos fit the feeling of the song, i would say give it more feeling according to how the song was being expressed. It's not a matter of whose guitar player is more virtuoso, more tecnical qualities or faster. It's how they add feeling to the song.and play along with it. Slash is or was fantastic. I'm glad Axl was stuborn enough and gave everyone a damn hard time to make this music as it is, he's a genius.
