The HM 14mm 85cm has been impossible to get here in Canada... still waiting to get mine..

Hello, guys, thank you very much for sharing 🙂 I am currently riding an alum mast and am debating to upgrade to a carbon one, because of the budget reasons I am also evaluating to upgrade to previous HM module mast in 75 cm. From you experience with the previous year masts do you think it would be still beneficial in terms of glide/speed for disciplines like (prone, dw, wining) to do an upgrade (I think its 1.5mm thiner and also lighter) or should I continue saving and get the 2023 one? Respectfully, Bohdan

Hi guys! nice video! you think for DW supfoil there is a big difference between a 80 or 75cm f-one carbon mast? cheers, Karl

For a 90kg guy, winging on a SS1400 would the HM 14mm be a bit risky of breaking? Would you then rather recommend the 16mm option?

You will be fine on the 14mm mast no problem. :)

if this mast has a 4mm area at the sharp backside thats broken out.. is it wasted/likely to break or all good if there are no cracks visible?

Thx for your nice videos! I miss an info about the existing problems with the "soft" connection between the mast and the foils. Are the new ones better?? And how can in i recognize the difference between the old versions and the new ones.. Looks nearly the same?! Best greets

Hi mate! the titan connection looks the same but is rebuilt with different carbon layers it feels super solid way stiffer than the old mast. Try to demo the new mast and you will feel it. :)

So for winging if money wasn’t the decision maker, you would go 14 every time? Sometimes I wonder with winging, where we have a power source, if we think we need more than we do?!? It’s all a funny sport where we all love it, but it’s hard to try all of these expensive products, so we have so many questions! Last question. Why don’t you think F-One has gone to M8? It feels so much nicer to screw in! Thanks!

I would say if you ride bigger foils like the Seven seas or the 'Phantom you will be all good with the 16 mm a bit less acceleration but still super stiff. F-ONE will probably change to 8 mm in the future on some models where it is needed. the good think with 6mm is that you can make the foils smaller lighter and faster. So its both positiv and negative with 8 mm :)

Can you please do a stiffness test (mount up a wing, but some weights on it and measure the deflection)? Stiffness is the most important quality of the mast.
