It made me smile so big to see your heartfelt reactions on the roller coaster; amazing simplicity and I'm jealous. My parents were born in Denmark (r.i.p. Far) but I have yet to enjoy a return visit since 1980. Thank you both.

Greetings from a local 😊! The Hotdog stand, next to the Round Tower - "DØP" (Danske Økologiske Pølser), translates to "Danish organic sausages". Another one I´d recommend is "John Hotdog Deli" outside Central Station. He makes his own Hot sauces (even though they usually are not part of a Danish Hotdog 🤣). Most Hotdog stands here serve a decent dog!The red Hotdog is boiled (for kids and tourists 🤣) The brown on is roasted. The toppings are the same, but I recommend that your first Danish Hotdog should be the roasted one.., "med det hele" (fully loaded). Enjoy 👍

Dane here. Loved your video. You should definitely come back to see some more of Denmark. I think you would enjoy it. I would recommand visiting some islands (like Det Sydfynske øhav - South Funen sea of islands), writer Hans Christian Andersens museum or how about LEGOland (amusement park) or the supermodern LEGO House with amazing interactive features. The western coast of Jutland with its cliffs and wild weather, city of Aarhus (probably the coolest city in Denmark) and in the most northern part of Denmark go see the lighthouse that just has been removed to prevent it from crashing into the Ocean (Rubjerg Knude Fyr), the wandering sand-dessert of Råbjerg Mile and Grenen, the top of Denmark, where you can stand with your feet in the two oceans that meet.

Have great fun in september! I was born in Copenhagen, and still live here :) If you go to Tivoli, make sure to try the roller coaster featured in this video. I think it's most Copenhageners's all time favourite. I have many good childhood memories from it, and my dad has too ! It was build in 1914, and is the oldest (still working) roller coaster in the world.

On top of the Round Tower, and its Observatory, with a Telescope (used once in a while during cloudless nights. Of course Cph. gives much too much light for any serious views!), is a "Caretakers Apartment", just below the platform! My former Firm sold a new Kitchen to this Apartment and used it in a Commercial, about how well adapted it could be.

Copenhagen is our Capitol yes, not the "Cleanest" Danish city by any means. I may be biased though, grew up on the countryside in the Northern Jutland. Some nights when it is clear, you can see Northern lights. So air and light pollution is near non existent in some places. Stunning Starry nights :)

I couldn't eat more than one pastry in a sitting. I can walk down to the baker every morning and get one, so maybe I'm a bit privileged, since it is part of the culture. Though it is rare that you eat one daily, it is for the special weekly special event. I can go months between eating pastry. It is just not part of a standard breakfast.

You looked like you enjoyed your time. Please allow me to bore you with a little historical trivia. When you went to Kastellet, you mentioned the moat. This may be difficult to visualize but that moat extended all the way around the medieval part of Copenhagen up to the late 1850s. There are remnants of the moat even today, and you actually stood next to some of that without knowing it. The lake in Tivoli Garden is a very small remnant of the original moat around the medieval part of Copenhagen. The lake in Østre Anlæg next to the National Museum of Art is another remnant of this moat and the lake in Botanic Garden and the H.C. Ørsted Park are the last remnants of the moat on the Zeeland (Island) side. More of the original moat including remnants of some of the more than 20 original bastions can be found on the Amager Island side (the island across the bridge towards the airport). The original Tivoli Garden was only about half the size it has today. In the end where the rollercoaster is today and a large part in that end was part of the first Copenhagen Central Station from 1847 - 1864. The current Central Station is actually the third in Copenhagen. The moat around the medieval part of Copenhagen on the Zeeland side was finally completely filled in around 1880 and all the bastions were completely removed around the same time on the Zeeland side of Copenhagen. You may have noticed that there are not many extremely old buildings left in the medieval part of Copenhagen. This is due to the fact that the old part of Copenhagen partly burned down 3 times. The first big fire was in 1728, the next in 1795 and then the English Navy (Nelson) bombarded Copenhagen and set it ablaze in 1807 so there are only a handful buildings left that are older than 1728, Roundtower being one of them.
