Literally letting your hair down there, Willie! There are certain Indian cities that I would love to visit, such as Udaipur, some of the northern hill stations, and some of the coastal towns in the south, but I think the likes of Delhi and Mumbai would be too much of an assault on the senses for me! I think that's why I enjoyed my recent visit to Nepal so much, lots of cultural similarities, but not as manic. Cooler temperatures, too. When I passed through Delhi airport on my way to Kathmandu, I went into one of the outdoor smoking areas to see what the temperature was, and it was like being dropped into a very hot bath. 🥵 Looking forward to this series, sir!

Cheers Andy! Hopefully there will be some interesting experiences in this series! I'm only here for two weeks, getting used to the India way of life and logistics. Udaipur is definitely on my list of places to see - I am planning to visit Rajasthan on this trip, but might not make it that far South. I hear you re the big cities, it is often (if not mostly) the case that the real magic lies outside the urban areas. But Delhi is undoubtedly an experience, or an attack on the senses as you say. I can almost feel the increase of humidity you experienced in the smoking area through my computer screen :) Thanks as always for supporting my channel!

Nice VLOG! LOL! you chose one of the worst areas I Delhi on your first day in India! Talk about diving off the deep end! How come most foreigners who come to India to New Delhi land up in Pahar ganj? Must be because of the cheap accommodation! 57:51 looks like a Banyan tree. 59:16 that was from a UN report dated 14 April 2010. I would think 14 years would have made a hell of a difference since India is lifting more &more people out of poverty every year especially with it's high rate of growth.

Haha thank you very much my friend, glad you enjoyed it! It was quite the introduction to Delhi and India in general. But I would not have it any other way! I'll tell you why Paharganj is so alluring to foreigners. We want to experience India at its chaotic best, because of the sensory overload. It is such a unique and fulfilling experience. Hope you get the chance to watch more of my videos and that you'll enjoy my channel!

My dear bro that is an area that even other Indians avoid. Whenever I visit Delhi, i always exit from the second gate, never Paharganj. Unless, of course, I'm looking for some adventure to tell my friends and family about.

Appreciate your concern my friend. However, for some foreigners including myself, it is such a unique and culturally fulfilling experience visiting the chaos of areas such as Paharganj. As you can see from the video, I had a good time!

Thanks again for your time regarding making these wonderful videos especially during first time. You can always asked Indian people in uk for more researching and background information but relevant experience is required as appropriate. Experience wise is an adequately very awesome analysis tool to observe what life is all about. Wille as it shows this is awesome video and hopefully more will come out of it first class and one best videos so far thanks!

Both old Delhi and new Delhi have been abandoned. Delhi NCR ultra modern areas are all in the south, quite far away from the slums of old and new Delhi. This is where you will see big companies, fancy hotels, restaurants and shopping areas.
@willieexplore

I've been told the southern parts are definitely more affluent, but I've also read that Connaught Place consistently ranks in the top 10 most expensive office location globally. It is incredible how many people live here. Thanks for watching and engaging, I really appreciate it!

Hey, hey, Willie ... welcome back! Another great walk-around ... don't get lost there!! Are you going to make through the Golden Triangle (Delhi, Agra & Jaipur)? Looking forward to seeing more soon! [Greetings from Tucson]

Hi Jim! Always such a pleasure hearing from you. Yes, it is indeed my intention to do the Golden Triangle. But other than that, I have no specific plans. Might stop off at one of the smaller cities or towns on the way back to Delhi. Cheers for your ongoing support!

As someone who likes peace and quiet this would an absolute nightmare for me🤦🏼♀️. Everyone is very friendly though, Willie and I did not realise Delhi had a metro system! I can only imagine the heat there too. I was told once that if you knock someone down in India not much is done about it but if you knock a cow down you go straight to jail👍 Not sure how true this is though😂

Hi Sheila! Wonderful to hear from you, as always! I can certainly see why this place would not be for those who like a more tranquil setting and experience. And I did not know that saying about the cows, but it makes a lot of sense! Hope all is well on your side :)

Was it easy to get Rupees? I was told you don't find it easily. Best time of the year to visit?
@willieexplore

I exchanged GBP to INR in Brighton, and they only had 500 rupee notes. You should not have issues getting the bigger notes, but you may struggle getting the smaller denominations. Once you break a big note you are well on your way, and keep your 10 and 20 rupee notes on you as long as you can :)

Sorry Sindy I didn't answer the second question you posed. It certainly depends on which part of India you visit but I've been told anytime between October and March is great
