This is from Anthrax’s Oidivnikufesin (N.F.V.) home video from 1988. They are considered Thrash, but their early material did have a Power Metal sort of edge, so you weren’t wrong to point that out. This song, Gung Ho, is from their second album, Spreading The Disease, from 1985. This might not have been the best introduction to Anthrax for you, but I’m happy to,see them get some love. They’re one of my all time favorite bands.

OK, this is the deal with Anthrax. If you don’t already know, they’re in the big four. With Megadeth, Metallica, and Slaye. Now Anthrax, in my opinion, is in the big four because of their first album Fistful of Metal. Which featured Neil Turbin on the vocals. This was thrash metal to the core. Joey Belladona, who is the singer now is OK. But Anthrax’ first album is why Anthrax is in the big four. So I think you should do some tracks off of the fistful of metal album. It’s a whole different entity.

Interesting. I consider Fistful to have some thrash elements, but Spreading and Among is when they really became a thrash band.

@@gridironmayhem4945 Neil Turbin’s vocals were more thrasher than Joey belladonna. I enjoy the albums you just said, but those albums aren’t near as hard as fistful of metal. However, I would’ve loved to hear Neil Turpin, singing those later albums though.
