What is this? Well, when your cabin hatch was stolen, and your ship interior turned into a shit interior, that could be THE reason why this one was dumped. When the previous owner gets into financial problems (no money), even simple things like reparing the cabin entry will go wrong, and the result is a disaster below deck. Still, priority number one is: is the hull in good condition? All bulkheads okay? When there are keel bolts, do check if the thread is good. For people who do not know sailing yachts, think about what happens when your rudder says cloink and sinks to the ocean floor. It's like driving the interstate and your steering wheel comes loose. How on earth can you fix that?! Well, do check the rudder, build a new one when you doubt it. You do not want to die during a storm. The rest means work, replacing things. When you buy a yacht, have it inspected by a ship builder you trust, or do it yourself, if you know how. Don't let this scare you. Jeanneau is a famous ship builder, and that is important. Chances are, somebody is gonna do some nice trips at sea. Why not?

Hi, we are fully aware of the state we buy her in. Hull is sound and dry. Deck, keel bolts and stringers may be the only things that bring (unpleasant) surprises, though everything can be fixed. The whole thing will take time, money and persistence but should be fun! We will continue working on her this summer.

@@the-waterfront Ah, you have more vids, you know what you are doing. Great. I'm Dutch, living on a tight budget, owned small yachts (do check out Waarschip, it is plywood and very good, except for the "family fun" model, designed for harmless sweet water only, sorry) and I switched to canoeing. But yachts are great, when the dime has fallen, you can not cut corners. Everything onboard must be okay, cheap goats will mecker one day. Cheap is okay, by the way, there are smart versions of everything onboard. Do you know the trick of TWO mainsail sheets? One from starboard, one frome port. This ways you do not need a traveller, and still you can trim the boom to every position you want. Such solutions are bright. You just need to search for them. And most yacht owners are conservative, you won't see many innovations in the real world. Okay, enough, have a good time!

@@voornaam3191 Well, turns out we are Dutch as well and... we also owned and refitted a Waarschip 725 from 2015 -2019! She was a beauty and we really loved sailing her, but due to wishes for more comfort was sold eventually. Till today we still somewhat regret that choice, but sadly it was inevitable. We are not intending to cut corners on this particular refit, but we'll definately look for non-marine alternatives if possible to cut costs!
