Had a ride on one for a few miles on Sunday at a Gold dealer, this is a totally awesome bike, I have ordered one.

The video consists on stock footage from Brompton and the interview with the designing lead. Not a single glance at the actual bike for more than a second.

If the front fork cannot use shock breaker maybe the G Line would custome a stem handle suspension for gravel mode ridding

A great gear ratio for riding around the city. Pmsl. Ah the G is a city bike is it

That was in reference to the 4 speed electric which is more city focused I think. The 8 speed is more suitable for all-terrain use but as is often the case there's a compromise. Here it seems can't have an 8 speed electric which would be a nice setup, especially if they could add a larger battery pack for longer rides

I can't see people queuing up to buy this expensive, overweight BMX folder. Why not just fit fatter off-road tyres to a 5 speed P Line with adjustments to the forks and frame to accommodate them?

chinese trifolds has had 20 inch brompton style folding bikes with 10 speed tiagras for years maybe brompton saw the market and gave in.

Obviously, the geometry is completely different. There are no fatter tires for 16" tires (349). So the classic A/C or even P/T line cannot do the same performance that this new G-line can give to a rider. Though I agree that this G-line is super hefty on the price. I can get a modded MTB with the same price, the only difference is that it cannot be folded.

@@arisgeminoI think this G line is a response to years ago. Their company is slow because they have a reputation and need to test. But I think this is a response from years ago. We have to see if they respond for the aluminum trifold now which are light and rust resistance. Maybe in a few years as well. An aluminum series if durable would solve their weight issue, cheaper to build and brompton infamous rust issues.

Just typical. This guy uses a stick as a stand. But Brompton are so ignorant they can't provide a stand saying the fold is they're for that. If I was running this design team things would be different. And I've run gay bigger design teams and projects than Brompton.

And went hadn't this 'expert' bothered to look at the size chart on the Brompton website. A joke doesn't do it justice. A stack and reach whuch are meaningless. Are they just random numbers? They can't add simple numbers (in brackets) the figures are comically stupid. Do the stack is measured from the ground and the reach grin fineness in the seat? Really? I've even emailed the big boss but I can only shine he's as interested as the idiots I've down to at Brompton. None of which had the intellect to see what's wrong with the sizing chart. I guess when a company hates its customers so much that you can't even call them it says everything.

I totally agree with your comment about Brompton’s disdain for it’s customers. I had problems with my T line seatpost after purchase. It came with an extended one, rather than the standard on my M6L bought in 2014. I’m short and couldn’t put the T line in park mode without raising the seatpost to park and lowering it back to ride. The customer service was appalling, no phone calls allowed, only the online chat line. I was even advised to cut the seatpost down myself! My husband, an engineer, pointed out the risks involved in this and it seemed to scare them into providing me with a standard seat post, after weeks of trying to wriggle out of it. I remember the old Brompton ethos, the online bike builder, giving the customer endless colour, component and accessory options. There were great bag collaborations with the likes of Ortlieb (their brilliant bags are now fetching astounding prices second hand on Ebay), in colours to match the bikes. In my opinion it was a sad day when Andrew Ritchie stepped down, I wish he had chosen his successor more carefully and handed his legacy to someone more like minded. It now feels like one great big unfeeling, money making machine and I would be very unlikely to buy from them in the future.
