First, great review John. This is how all gas grills were made back in the early 70's. Thick cast aluminum. Couldn't wear'em out. When the burners burt out, many were converted to charcoal. LOL I love everything about this PK360. Now...I want one. You just made a sale. LOL Thanks-phil

Awesome video thank you! Question...Do you worry about temp leaks with the relief you filed in?
@BigHWorks

John, at the 0.44 min. mark you can see that you have added a relief for temperature probe cables. Good idea since this provides space for the cable and lets the top of the grill sit tightly against the bottom half as needed. How did you put the relief in?

Wow thanks for taking the time to show us this grill! What do you think of this grill compared to a kamado?

I just picked up a used PK classic in very good condition. Now there is a PK 360 just like yours with Grill Grates, cover, and tools for $500. Thinking about it. Any thoughts?

It's a good deal if you need a second grill. The classic PK works great too.

Nice grill but seems like you would be resetting the top vents every time you open it.
@ManCaveMeals

I doubt it... I'd not likely have to touch the vents at all. On a long cook I'd treat it like any other charcoal grill and try to avoid opening the lid any more than necessary. On hotter cooks the temp swings would not matter much.... I made a minor MOD to this grill after I shot this video... I created a small gap in the left side of the base so I could pass a pit probe in without upsetting the mating of the top and bottom pieces of the capsule. I don't like running temp probes in through the air vents...

Prolly a stupid Q but since i grill on the go, can i hose down the hot capsule without it cracking for faster cooldown & safe transport?

shouldn't be a problem but when you dump the hot coals it's gonna cool pretty quickly

So, you went ahead and got me hook on my Kamado Joe’s a bout 6 years ago, I’m which I Own 3 of them. 2 Big Joes ams a Joe Jr. plus a ton of other supplies and grates Pizza stones . Dutch ovens. You name it, I bought it. Now I’m looking at a PK 360 for camping , my Joe Jr is just too heavy to be dealing with that for a camping trip for a week or two. It seems like it’s very versatile. Does it sit on a table without a stand? I’m ready to pull the trigger on this one, of course the wife well make me make hard chooses.. I’m sure this is going to cost me another $1200.00 any suggestions?

PK has a better option for camping... Go have a look at the PKTX. It has a folding stand. Atlanta grill company has that one right now with a free PKGO stand that allows you to use it easily as a tabletop grill.

Man Cave Meals so, how stable is the 360? It looks a little top heavy and was wondering how stable it was while cleaning the grates. Since my wife is a vegetarian, I normally give my grates a good scrub during a cook before I put her cardboard burger on. The base seems small.

How would this fare vs a ceramic or a insulated steel like the Akorn or Keg 5000. I’m looking at getting one don’t know which one. From slow cooks to maybe a pizza one day. Thanks.

This is a totally different grill than a Kamado. It's more comparable to a kettle grill.
