I just got one of these from my kid in South Carolina, who bought it from someone. Serial number MP195*DC and the mag that came with it is an "only LE" model with a date code of SEP 1990.

The recoil spring that came with your pistol is probably a replacement. I'm not 100% sure when they changed but the early gen 2s had a non-captive recoil spring. I have a 1990 G17 (NX prefix) that still has the non-captive spring in it. It functions fine and have seen no need to replace it. I bought mine about 10-12 years ago and believe it was a police trade in also. It had the NY trigger in it. That crap had to go. Enjoyed your video.

Nice, replace the plunger slide lock spring, as well as the striker spring. To complete the refresh of the springs. Inspect the extractor and replace it as needed. On old glocks with heavy round count, the extractors get dimple like wear with a ridge. Replacing will prevent stove pipe and double feed malfunctions. Friendly suggestion.. love your gen 2 purchase.

I have the good fortune of having two gen 2 Glock 17's, one from 1991 and the other from 1995. Enjoy your gun and thanks for the video.
