Thanks for watching everybody, I appreciate it. It was six years ago yesterday that I uploaded this video and I couldn't believe that it's almost up to 60,000 views. A lot has changed. We don't make trips to Gallup no more. Grandma is in a senior home, Grandpa passed away two years ago, my Auntie is doing just fine, and my Uncle just received his very own home after many years of delay.

There’s no words that can express how much this video means to me. That’s my home.. I just turned 20 and I’m living in Seattle, wa. I’m from Tohatchi. Born in Gallup but mostly lived in Tohatchi with shinaalis and my siblings and shima. It’s a completely different world out here... I’ve been in culture shock for the past 4-5 months! It’s been a difficult time adjusting and I really miss home. The rain doesn’t smell the same and the people are not the same. It’s great here for modern lifestyle but the 505 and surrounding Dinè lands. Thank you for this video, sincerely. Wishing well!

Take time to spend with your elderlys as much as you can, once they’re gone it’s too late! Very sad 😢. Miss my mother, aunties, uncles,.

Love this video..I'm a Canadian Cree from northwestern Ontario, Canada. Just came across this video. Reminds me of my uncles or the elders in my hometown of Moosonee, ont. when I was younger they would meet at a a small local general store run by a another native. It was a small store and he had a little bit of everything? The building had a small woodbelly stove.

Timmy George, your video is a beautiful slice of life, I loved it. No need for the captions, either; we've all seen those kind of visits, we've lived this in whatever culture or language is ours. I've been with a Navajo man for more than a decade, and though he is far removed from his roots in Lukachukai and the Canoncito Rez in NM, I see the heritage coming through more as we get older. Thanks for posting this for us.
