When checking the oil level, you do not screw the dip stick back in you just set it on the rim, lift it out and check your level

Great Video, thank you! Quick correction, the oil filter bolts are to be torqued to 7.3 ft lbs of torque. NOT 10 ft lbs. Just wanted to post this in case people accidently strip out theyre bolts. (Atleast my owners manual says 7.3ft lbs of torque, 2023 C Force 500) Also, drain bolt cover says torque to 18.5 ft-lbs

Thanks Mr. Rider. I'm going to do the oil on my 400, though I doubt it has 50 hours on it since my break in oil was changed. It's been a couple of years. Your piece was exactly what I needed to get me going as soon as my oil kit comes in...or mebbe a day or two later. Super thanks from your fan way down in Alabam! (PS...Old dog larns new trick. Going to try out your sideways thing! Wow! Ha!) Norm

Thank you very much for posting this. Three months ago we moved from just east of Buffalo to just south of Jamestown NY in PA and bought a '21 CFMOTO 500. We initially did a little gentle trail riding on our (new to us) 40 acres here (to break it in) and now a LOT of snow removal on our mile long driveway with the plow. It has performed perfectly. Lost one of the grommets on that side cover after about a month. Still have to replace it. Have about 130 miles on the machine, time to change the oil and filter. Growing up, my parents were huge sportsmen and we would drive north of Toronto to Cochrane then west to Geraldton then about 60 miles north up a dirt road then 10 miles down a lake in a boat and spend summers camping and fishing there. Loved and admired your country and the wonderful people there. With this plandemic, don't know if I'll ever make it back. Thanks again, sir.

if you turn the oil bottle flip side where the slant side it wont gurgle thats why the make them that way try it next time instead of turning it sideways . from one mechanic to another

You don't have to screw the dipstick in to check the oil level It should be at the full level before you thread it in That's what it says on the manual for the 600 anyways. Just trying to help because I would of done it same way as u myself before I read it.

I'm glad someone mentioned that. I was surprised to see dipstick being screwed in. I know with Honda you never screw dipstick in and I saw an MSC video on servicing a CFORCE and he didn't screw dipstick in.

So what do you think of the 500? I've been looking for a second ATV for my son to ride and I have my eyes on this one. Price and availability are great but I'm wondering about reliability. I just got a 22' Outlander 650 XT in January and love it. I'm in the west end of Ottawa but we have a cottage up near Cloyne ON or Bon Echo Prov. Park. Great riding in that area and my son has sparked some interest now. What do you think so far of the CForce 500? Cheers!

Hi Todd, I actually took the Cforce out for a good ride yesterday. I'm happy with it. It's basic and does the job. Great value for sure. I hang out in facebook cfmoto groups and everyone that has a cforce has only good things to say about them. The power steering makes for good handling. I have an older Suzuki Eiger as well and power steering is non existent on it. The only thing I wish it had was gas shocks. But you can't have everything. I did a video of the ride yesterday and it's new on the channel today! 😀 Thanks for watching!

did you have to bring it in to dealer to check the valve or any adjustment needing you to bring it on or you can just do all basic maintenance yourselfe without void the warranty?

@@CF-BRADY yes up here in the marmora, madoc, Springbrook, campbellford area they are open to us. They would rather we stayed off them because of snowmobiles and the grooming. But we are legal to use them. I don't tear them up and try to respect the trails for the sleders. You can get a pass at the trails.ca
