Fun car but nobody knows how to race. Big pileup every race.

first race was clean but I have seen allot of carnage on the videos, That was unfortunate for you looked like he went for a nose dive on buddy ahead and did not check his mirror to see you were there.

the SFL has saved iracing for me I was just going to drive the VRC formula alpha csp for the F1 season on ER but this car is great. I really like it .I think your crash was a bad idea from lui to pass the car. Was his fault I think.

The car is very fun but I've seen a ton of shenanigans so far. If you survive the chaos in the first 25% of the race, you are almost certain to gain positions by attrition.

The slow car ahead definitely put Luis in an awkward position. It was clumsy of him to lose awareness and just cut across into you, but I can understand how that mistake happens. For him to come on the radio afterwards is a bit silly 😂

Scott, just finished watching this. IMO Luiz was trying to have his cake and eat it too. He wanted to pass the car in front of him BUT, also wanted to keep you behind. You are correct in thinking he moved too late to cover you. There was no way he would slow down to stay behind the car in front of him. Also, there was no way he was gonna let YOU by him. It just took him too long to process that decision and try to cover you (That he should have done in the first place). Unlike Luiz I'm here to discuss LOL. Thanks for the content. Other than that, that was a very entertaining race.

So I do think he was trying to avoid the slow car. But you are right, at that point he wasnt making the overtake there. Also he should have been aware you were closing in on him. So once you moved out he needs to realise that he misjudged the situation and now he has to accept things arent going his way and he will now get blocked by the car in front and overtaken. Its 100% on him but I will give him the benefit of the doubt and say the main reason was the slow car in front

i think that Luis is like you said more worried about hitting the slow car but concidering how he just flicks the wheel and he never gonna get that slow car as that car can brake later to make the corner, fully on him imo! ncie race to watch good battles shame you got destroyed there

I think the draft is powerful due to the high speed nature of RA. Hopefully, next week, we'll be able to run away from the following car if we are fast enough.

Too bad it had to end like that, was a very enjoyable race with some close racing. I think that guy was definitely far enough of the car ahead to not worry have to worry about him. He should've stayed on the racing line. He might've tried to pull off a defensive move, however way too late.

It varies from car to car as they all have different seating positions. For the SF Lights I was using 100 and in the Super Formula I use 96. I also have the ride height increased by a few cm also

If he didn't crash into you he was gonna crash into guy ahead, no way he could have cleanly overtake him. Orange car wasn't that much slower and blue-black car pulled to right at 350m when orange car was at 250m. Stupid move and bad behaviour on his side to go on mic and call names.

Either that incident was a block (and therefore protestable) or not knowing you were there and a mistake. Whichever it was it definitely wasn't on you.

Unfortunately looks like a case of #15 focusing too much on slow car ahead and not checking their surroundings. By the time they make the decision to try and overtake the slower car you're just getting overlap, way too late for him to move as he does. As you've said very unlikely he would have even made the overtake from that far back, unless the slow car essentially abandons the corner to let people passed. This is a fun car to race so far, but that slipstream is so hard to break away from!

Okay that race-(kind of) ending incident was absolutely ridiculous, Luis must have thought he wouldn’t have to defend on that straight and only realised when your front wheels were already next to his rear axle, nothing you could have done differently there imo On a different note though, if I may ask Why did you move from VR to an ultrawide screen? I‘m looking into upgrading and can’t decide between VR and Triples/Ultrawide because they both have their pros and cons What do you guys think? I‘d like to have as many opinions as possible ideally😂
@stuffeyy
6 ай бұрын
I moved away from VR as it was becoming a chore to setup all the time and just started to become an uncomfortable/difficult experience to create content. Going to an Ultrawide has allowed me to be more physically comfortable, have increased graphic fidelity and just made my sim racing experience overall more enjoyable. If I wasn't creating content I may possibly have only upgraded to another VR headset but I realise you also miss out on all the helpful overlays that Kapps & Racelabapps provide you too. Overall for pure immersion, you can't beat VR , but if you want a more comfortable and multipurpose simracing experience go for Ultrawide/Triples.
@cyancut21

Thanks mate, much appreciated🙌 Yeah that’s roughly the pros and cons I thought of as well, although gotta hand it to iRacing with their VR overlays, they‘re really really good I‘ll have the opportunity to try VR for a few hours next week, hopefully I get motion sickness like crazy and that will make the decision for me😂

LOL my goodness how ridiculous. Yes Scott, he totally turned into you. Well, "turn" is generous. I would say violently, carelessly lurched into you with no awareness for the cars around him at all. Total Lance Stroll moment. 100% on him. If there was a slower car ahead that he wanted to clear he should have anticipated you were closing on him and moved across much earlier.

The SF light fields have been huge, i regularly see 230+ entries. The splits are so tight which makes for good racing but I see guys at 1.4k doing 1:56s in fixed qualifying, its wild! I'm 1.6-1.8k and stuck at 1:58 max lol. Makes me sad, as this is my home state track that I've raced my motorcycle on many times.

WTF at the turn 1 car zooming by without a care in the world. And wow yeah, that guy definitely moved over when they shouldn't have. He seemed too far away from the car ahead to be doing anything. How quite odd. I have not raced this car yet, I feel like it'd be a frightening series to do right now. Judging from this, it definitely is, :D. hahah.

The amount of draft we get in these cars is insane. It's pointless to defend in the straight line, better to just let past and try to overtake on the next straight.

It's hard to believe what kind of people drive on iracing. You always have to look in the rearview mirror because I'm afraid someone will run into me again. At the front they drive zigzag. Nowadays, racing is hardly fun anymore because of drivers like that. I am punished in IR and SR because others drive poorly.
