This band changed how I think of music. They use everything, harmony, call and response, dynamic rests, textures, thematic phrasing, unbelievable technical skills, and the songs they paint with those colors will stick in your memory. They seem like a hurricane and their choruses are the eye of the storm before throwing you back into the storm. I've never heard a band that had a melody of theirs show up in my dream. Truly an underrated band. They are simply amazing!

Juko Suzuki is so talented, he writes the lyrics and all the music, their voices go together so well, the drummer sings too. Ive never listened to prog or metal and i love them.

This song is a good high-middle ground of what they do (and it's catchy to boot). They do have a few mellow songs (which are beautiful) and they do have some more crazy stuff. Highly interesting band, very much so not for everyone (personally, I don't "get" some of their songs, but that's okay). And their newest drummer (I think their third? among a few session drummers), officially signed up since the beginning of the year...is even crazier. AND sings while doing all of this. Plenty of insane bands around these days, it's so great.

Honestly , when I was listening , I was thinking , will they let up ! It was fast but not to a “ just noise level “! And then it would drop to ketches think 😂 it’s exciting

Oh My, Alan . . you've gone exploring Japan again and discovered another something Special. They've been through a few drummers, but Juko (guitarist, composer) and Misaki (bass) have been together since 2011. A wide and varied discography, and they are as good Live as they are in the studio. Here's a Live clip from just after they added a Drum Member, Saito - *_Gou Ni Moyu._* kzitem.info/news/bejne/xa56t31mp51zn6g

That's Shiyu on drums... it's from the DVD that was released with Issen, which was still deep in the Shiyu era.

LOVE this band. I have to admit, I can only process a few songs at a go 🤯, but I still love 'em. A couple of personal favorites (among many) are: "Saitei" (about like "Tenohira"), "Brilliant City" (a bit more conventional), and "white for" (slower and GORGEOUS). Thanks for checking out Sokoninaru, Alan!

They probably know that most people can't handle them for hours on end as the majority of their full releases are 30 minutes or less with 6 - 9 tracks. I am pretty sure this is done intentionally for that reason. They have one album that is longer, but that's mainly the Western release which has a couple of bonus tracks.
