In March 2024 Sam Garthwaite and his team managed succesfully to do the first SUP descent of the Falls of Bruar.
"The Falls of Bruar have a rich history in Scotland. The surrounding landscape used to be completely baron until a famous Scottish poet (Robert Burns) wrote a poem in petition form, asking the Duke of Atholl to plant trees on the banks. The cool thing is that he did not write this poem in first person, instead he wrote it as if the river itself was asking for these trees. Because of this the area is now lush and stunning, it is this beauty that has always drawn me to the location. The opportunity to add to the history of the falls by completing the first SUP descent has felt like a dream! I’m proud of what we have done." says White Water Pro and Indiana Ambassador Sam Garthwaite.
