On the anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster, "Ukrainian Witness" is publishing previously unpublished footage from a year ago. This is what representatives of the National Agency for the Management of the Exclusion Zone saw in early April 2022, when they returned here after the Russian occupation: not a single building that the Russians had not looted. In just 36 days, the occupiers turned the exclusion zone into utter chaos. Everywhere there are broken doors, broken windows, walls painted with Russian symbols and the warning: "Khohol, look for mines." A year ago, Vitali Deineza and the Svidka team had to take a risk in order to get to the Chernobyl nuclear power plant together with representatives of the agency, because in fact they were among the first to go - even before demining.
