when J-Hope says, "Mic Mic Bungee", it means he drop the mic to SUGA, they aren't done yet, then Suga gives his verse, etc. Their lyrics are clear, and they have word play, there are some Korean meanings, like you have to know the meaning behind spoon (class) theory in Korea to get J-Hope's first verse. J-Hope's idol is J-Cole. He recently got to meet him when he headlined Lollapalooza after dropping his album Jack In The Box. All three rappers have solo projects, and all seven BTS members are going to release solo albums soon, because they are focusing on solo projects. J-hope was first, RM should be next. I will link J-Hope's work in the reply comment below if you are interested.

This song is mainly for their haters, it talks about how they’re successful (BTS) and that makes their haters sick. The Korean language has a lot of idioms and slang that are difficult to translate into English, so sometimes the translation is not 100% literal. BTS's lyrics are not for everyone, and they DO care for their lyrics a lot. They have too many wordplay and the lyrics are mainly about them and their stories. For example Black Swan (please react to it too) talks about the fear of losing the love for your passion and how it feels like dying for the first time, when you loved something so much before and now it's gone. How about watching the song with the lyrics first (look for the lyrics only) and then play the video without the subtitles? That way you would enjoy both 👍🏻

You like lyrics? Well……let me tell you, ,you’ve tapped into the right group. If you take the time to really SEE and understand the lyrics, you will be amazed at what they are trying to convey to their audience. They talk about mental health issues, social injustices, youth empowerment, haters, their fans, etc… it’s not just about love, and bubble gum stuff, they talk about serious stuff that’s worth reading for those who don’t understand Korean. The group has 3 rappers and 4 vocalists. There are some only rap songs, some only vocal songs, but most BTS songs are hybrid ( both vocal with rapping in them). This is what makes them great. I hope you will continue your BTS journey. ARMY will follow!

In the U.S. where they are new in the Music Industry they have won Vh1, MTV, Kidz Choice, Billboard, the only award they have not won is Grammy. you know I can warm up to the 2 guys on the left and the last man on the far right, but the 3rd one in between needs to go. You need to actually comprehend that Korean will never completely 100% translate to English. Their sentence structures are built differently then in English, so some aren't going to make sense. But also, keep in mind there's tons of Korean references too. Some words you won't know because it's not in your culture. There's lots of slang, idioms and phrases you won't understand unless you watch a video that breaks it down for you. May I remind you that a huge reason why BTS is so damn big is for their lyrics. Also, don't compare BLACKPINK to them. I love those girls, but 90% of their discography is swag-oriented and will talk about their wealth or their beauty (etc), very simple lyrics, meanwhile youre not going to understand BTS's complex and diverse lyrics your first time listening. You just have to actually take the time to acknowledge it and understand other video explanations. MIC DROP is a song for the haters. The lyrics are clear, but it can be hard to multi task, watching the MV and the lyrics, it can be hard....good thing the replay button exists right? +also one more thing, watch their dance practices if youre into their dances. MIC DROP I swear to god is by far one of their easiest dances, even the dance break version (you can react to that one too if you'd like an even deeper drop for MIC DROP) It's their earlier hiphop tracks that are harder

You don’t know BTS of course you won’t understand their lyrics. You ask what they are talking about. They are talking about haters and antis who talk sh** about them. Once you know their story you will understand why their lyricism is one of the best in the industry. Everything you see in their MV has symbolism even their dance moves. They are not your typical boy band, dude. Reactors who react to BTS’ music without even doing some research opt to have prejudices. You need to have an open mind to appreciate their music. I am 47 years old Army and once a hater of BTS because I had no idea who they were. But when I started listening to their music without any prejudices and learned how these 7 amazing young men started as under dogs and later broke records of legendary singers such as Michael Jackson and the Beatles, I fell in love with them. Thanks for reacting to our boys. Good luck to your channel.

Some people watch the video, then go back and read the lyrics. But truthfully, the lyrics are really self explanatory, “Did you see my bag?” Bag as in money, that’s slang from America, you should know what that is. “So many trophies”, prizes, trophies, etc… that’s easy. “Mic Mic Bungee”, song is called “Mic Drop” Also American slang, and “Bungee”, like a bungee cord, you jump, you fall, then the bungee cord pulls you back up. The next rapper picked up where he left off, that’s word play, also dragging out the word “Bungeeeee”. You don’t need to be a genius to understand these lyrics, you all sound very intelligent. Of course that is understandable if you are only catching a couple words as you watch. But asking these questions and not understanding anything? At all? I don’t buy that, come on guys, you can do better than that. Maybe I’m wrong? Maybe the lyrics are to complicated to understand. Then don’t waste your time, react to dance practices, that seems to be what you like the most about them, the dancing and beat.

But yes you can't just read some lyrics here and there or it doesn't make sense. And yes they got the mic drop idea from Obama. It is also a flex to their haters. BTS has been very discriminated against, threatened, made fun of, and told they would never make it big. You all really should learn more about them and their story, KEVIN, before watching a lot more videos. You are the first reactors I have seen that didn't like this song and video very much so that is very surprising, lol. And a few fun facts. RM, the leader, loves Drake and Noz, J-Hope loves J-Cole, Suga loves Eminem. RM did a collaboration with Wale. Last note I will say is very few of their song are about a girl or relationships. They have much deeper meaning than that. They are not a boy band.

1 of the inspiration for the song was president obama's last speech at the press corp dinner where he actually dropped the mic put 2 fingers to his lips & said "obama out" & dropped the mic.

We have a saying that bts will find you when you need them:) So as for now if you guys like expensive visuals, catchy melodies and pretty girls then blackpink is for you. Bts is about lyricism artistry and insane live performances. They came from a poor company also they write and produce their own stuff unlike the other group so you can't really compare them(i saw a video of you comparing them so i thought it was needed to be said) I loved the second guy from left it seemed like he really put effort to understand the song, we appreciate that.

They are shutting down their haters. You need to check out the BTS Cyphers 1-4, Ddaeng, and Ugh. You know not of what you speak. 🤣 And the solos will blow your mind. 😘💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Also, VERY, VERY IMPORTANT POINT: the English subtitles may be off!! In other words, it’s not what they’re actually saying. There are only THREE ENGLISH songs and they were put out last year! MOST of their songs have a few English words/lines but majority are in KOREAN. When MIC DROP was released there was only ONE ENGLISH SPEAKING GUY IN THE GROUP: RM, leader of group but only in terms of keeping up with business for guys, solving arguments. RM RAP MONSTER aka KIM NAMJOON (real mame) is the guy who pops out of ambulance. By now, 2/5/23, several are able to speak/understand much more.

If you care about the lyrics and if its difficult to read and watch at the same time, then perhaps it would help to either read the lyrics before or after watching the music video? Ive seen some creators do that, even discuss the lyrics a little bit and say their own interpretations

The meaning behind the song is pretty obvious. Too many trophies to carry them. They're telling you that they aren't in this for the awards and trophies and fame. They're in it because they love it. They were handed the mic - and when they let go of it- it bungees right back into their hands because they're not done telling you the facts.

I think to get a full understanding of BTS you should find a video that is an introduction or guide to BTS. It will help you in knowing more about them as individuals and as a group.

Listen to outro tear wembley live. You will get a sample of how deep their lyrics are. The lyrics do matter to BTS but you can't rely on translations on the mv's to fully understand. People watch ddaeng and ugh by BTS and then have to watch the video to unpack the lyrics. Actually you really need to start with an introduction video to BTS first.

seriously "my hands carry them" what does that mean. It's english bro you have to read whole lyrics to understand it. you just read my hands carry them and say what does that meant? whole lyrics was " another trophy my hands carry them , too many that i can't even count them. It's simple as said they are telling haters to see how much you hate them they are working hard and winning all those trophies that it's hard to keep count. MIC DROP 4:35 "the lyrics matter bro" dude if you think lyrics matter then pay attention to lyrics before commenting about it. you didn't even read whole lyrics and gave such comment.
