You don't want a hydrostatic transmission. You made the right choice.

Yeah, I have come around to the transmission, the second time was much better and I see why one would not want a Hydrostatic. Thanks for the comment!

@@driftlessinwi Some of the 40/50 series deere tractors had a high/low range lever. That is nice. You can slow down and then speed back up without changing gears. Not sure if anyone is offering that in newer tractors or not. Hydrostatic is just not up to what a gearbox can do. The newer bulldozers can't even work hard in the summer without overheating.

You probably should’ve got an H&S action rake. That would probably be easier to rake with.

How well did the 75c handle the roller? Did it pull it down any? Were you able to roll at 6-8mph wirhout any issues or did you have to slow down so the tractor could keep up? I JD 5075e and my 4x5 roller strangles it. Thinking about trading for a 75c.

It works just fine, even going up and down hills. I bale around 3 mph, but I just want to avoid clogs, since I only bale about 30 bales each time I cut. I only noticed a little slow down when I had a full bale and I kept baling, go figure :) The 75c seems to be more than adequate for a 4x5 baler. Thanks for the comment!

Yes, I tried that, seems to always stop in same position. Thanks! ---- UPDATE: Yes, you can turn PTO by hand when tractor is off :) Learn something new everyday! Thanks!
