100% agree. 5fdp is a slippery slope, once you're hooked, you're hooked! The mosh pit IS friendly, btw. Or, more accurately, its respectful. Check the vid of ivan stopping mid song to lay into a dude for knocking another guy down hard...5fdp is all the respect + the feels + the social messages that we all need to hear. A powerful voice that represents ALL of the people.

OMG! I love this band! You should really do their song "Wrong side of Heaven". It is really powerful and it makes me cry anytime I listen to it. It always reminds me of my brother and his struggles that he faced after multiple deployments and years of service, he almost became just another statistic... 😥 I'll never understand what they go through, I pray all the veterans out there can all find the help they need.

I've been watching reaction videos of black Americans discovering rock music, the music I grew up with in the 70s and 80s and on, and it makes me unbelievably happy for some reason. It's like my circle of peeps just grew unexpectedly, and I feel connected to you all. It might be the weed I just smoked, but I'm on the verge of tears. Classic Rock started around the end of the 60s, and built off a Rhythm & Blues influence. I'm hoping to see a lot of black rock bands spring up. I predict greatness ahead.

I volunteered with Rock Medicine for many years, originally as an EMT and continued after becoming an ER nurse. I love hard rock concerts and loved being in the space between the stage and the crowd. This area is for security and medical. I always remember a young teenaged girl that made it up to the wall between us and the crowd. I saw a large hole open up right behind her and offered to pull her over the wall and relocate her for her safety but she ignored me... until she got crushed. We had to haul her over the wall after being crushed. Your talking about the mosh pit reminded me of this. I can't remember exactly which concert it was but I THINK it was a Primus concert at the Oakland (California) Arena, former home of the Golden State Warriors.

Yes! 5FDP! I recommend reacting to the entire Got Your Six album. They are SO talented! Ivan's voice is the sh*t. Both metal grit/scream and beautifully melodic. And Jason's guitar playing is so underrated. They are HUGE proponents of our troops and veterans and ALL of their songs have relevant and poignant lyrics and meanings. Asia, you crack me up! I watch a lot of reactors on metal and they all are pleasantly surprised. Majority of metal has a message. The way music is now a days, you have to go and find these bands. Back in the day we could watch them on MTV or VH1. I’m hoping a lot more people find these groups and songs because they be surprised how much the message resonates just as much today versus when it was written. Music is definitely uniting. It’s universal

I'm open to everything. I love songs and bands that 15-20 years ago I would have hated. Like I used to hate screaming in songs and a song I didn't like because of screaming was My Curse by KSE. But then I heard the soft version of End of Heartache in the credits of Resident Evil Apocalypse. I absolutely loved Howard Jones singing voice so I listened to more KSE. I wasn't too fond of the regular version of EOH because I was used to the soft version. But I listened to more of them and grew to love their music. I still have a limit to the level of screaming I can enjoy but it's definitely more open than it used to be.
