Much respect for starting your motorcycle adventure at the age of 50. You're not alone. I'm a 72 year old gentleman who never rode a motorcycle, never sat on a motorcycle but always had a desire. Anyway I decided at age 70 to learn. I to bought my 1st bike before I knew how to ride. I too had a bad experience at the MSF class so much so I failed. I got home depressed and thought well I guess I have to sell my bike. Next morning I thought hell I've never given up on anything. So I went to my DMV office, took the written exam and got my temp permit. On the 1st Sunday I went to the DMV course, took pictures and took measurements of the motorcycle course. I found an unused paved lot where I duplicated the course. I practiced and practiced and practiced. When I thought I was ready I went to take the DMV ride test. Well I froze up and failed. Again depressed I made another test appointment. This time I passed with flying colors. I'm now on my 3rd bike and loving it. So here's to you're never too old to start a new adventure. 👍

I just ran across your channel this weekend. I'm not a Motovloger but do ride motorcycles at 50 too. Congrats on learning to ride and the vlog. I've watch several of your videos and wanted to compliment you on your "realness" and honesty on your motorcycle and vlog journey. Very refreshing. I've heard you mention MotoJitsu and MCrider (great channels and instruction) and I wanted to pass on a couple others if you're not familiar. Doodle On A Motorcycle (a female rider/vlogger I think you'd enjoy. I appreciate her realness and honesty like your channel) Also, Ride Like A Pro Jerry Palladino (great instruction, reviews etc.) I've learned much from all four channels. Best of luck on the channel and riding!

Hey Brian! Thanks for checking out the channel and for the kind words. Doodle is my favorite motorcycle content creator for the exact reason you stated. I have heard of and watched videos from Jerry as well. Those are great recommendations and people who have positive and informative content that certainly benefit both new and long-term riders. They each have their own style and impart knowledge in ways anyone can learn and grow. Thanks again! Stay safe out there.

If it hasn’t been mentioned yet, watch “Ride like a pro” and “DanDan the Fireman.” They give a lot of good pointers for riding. Good luck in your new adventure.

Hello Ginger Dash Moto, welcome to the motorcycle riding club, your life has changed for the good. :) - I too just started riding again last year at 50 after being out of it for quite a while. I did growing up, then grew up and life took off and I never got the chance to get my own bike until August 2020, and I am so glad I have gotten back into it. I had horses and motorcycles growing up, but never actually owned one of my own until now. I am loving being back on two wheels. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. I look forward to newer ride alongs with you. Stay safe and keep the shiny side up and the Rubber side down!

Just found your channel, and I think that its terriffic that you have taken the plunge and joined the world of motorcycles. You realise now that you will be forever cursed and afflicted with the desire to always want that next bike!! Its ok, just let it happen. Brilliant to see more Women riders/ vloggers appearing on the roads of this world. I'm 62, riding for 47 ofv those years, and I will cease my obsession with motorcycles. It's a world unto itself. Best therapy I have ever found and constantly use to keep myself balanced ( well almost) lol. A pleasure to meet you, on the tube, and a big G'day from a fellow rider in Australia. Hope riding bikes becomes your one of your passions, and remember to always keep the rubber side down. Looking forward to your other videos. Great first effort by the way. Cheers.

Love Redheads. A year ago in November I bought a bike with the aim of getting the full licence. I rode bikes in the 70s but never since. Since covid came along things have been held up, but on December 07th last year I passed through the CBT course. If you don't have that in the USA it stands for Compulsory Basic Training. I'm in the UK by the way. We cannot ride any bike without passing this course first. Ok, so you're 50. People may think you're crazy, but I'm 70 in April ! How crazy am I ? Really enjoyed your vlog. You have a very natural way of commenting which is probably why you enjoyed the 2 years on radio so much. You remind me of Myra West who uploads now and again. Very open, honest and down to earth. Enjoy the riding. Be careful out there. Keep uploading Ginger. X

I got my licence in 2001 at age 31. I did a little riding until our daughter was born in 2005. She’s now nearly 17 and I’ve started riding again at 52. Scared to death to start with but getting there! I really love the reaction I get from people! I feel young again and somehow a cool mama!

I’ve always been afraid of motorcycles, because I’ve only ridden on the back and that was TERRIFYING! So I’ve decided to get my endorsement and get my own bike. Can’t wait. You go girl! 😁👍🏍
