I'm 66 Japanese J-ARMY and I have loved Professor Sakamoto 's music for more than 40 years. Professor Ryuichi Sakamoto passed away on 3/28/23 before Yoongi's DDay album was released on 4/21/23. Sakamoto released a statement on June 7, 2022 he said, “Since I have made it this far in life, I hope to be able to make music until my last moment, like Bach and Debussy whom I adore.” Yoongi knew he had terminal cancer because his statement spread in South Korea. I'm glad Yoongi met Professor Sakamoto in September 2022 in Japan. Thank you Yoongi and professor Ryuichi Sakamoto. My country lost great composer.

Okey Im here to recommend a brand new singer for your channel. Şebnem Ferah. Turkish singer, songwriter, producer and vocalist. She has been around since 1987. She was in Volvox and Pentagram. She worked with Apocolyptia before Evanescence. She is doing alternate rock, hard rock, pop rock and heavy metal. Im gonna go straight away for song suggestions from 2007 İstanbul Live Concert. My personal favs are -Delgeç -Ben Şarkımı Söylerken -Can Kırıkları AND I am gonna comment at each video so you can see it and dont forget it😅

Since this song was so meaningful, it would be wonderful if you did a follow up reaction where you explore the significance of Ryuichi Sakamoto, who composed and performed the piano instrumentals for the song, and who is pictured in the video. Who he was and his significance to Suga. It would add that much more depth to this song for you and Suga fans. Sakamoto’s daughter has said that this song is a requiem to her father. As mentioned at the end of video, he passed away last year right after the song came out.

I have to be careful when I listen to this one, because I just start bawling my eyes out everytime. Especially when I have lyrics to follow along with. This was Yoongi's comfort song to trainees and artists out there trying to make it. He wanted to give a message of inspiration to them, but in that inspiration you hear so much emotion. I'm a fan of both BTS and The Rose, and Woosung really gave this song the perfect chorus. It's just so beautiful. Snooze is a masterpiece.

One of the most hauntingly beautiful songs I’ve ever heard. I broke down sobbing when I heard him preform it live it hit me so incredibly hard when he keeps repeating almost begging us to know “everything is going to be ok” over and over he begs us to internalize that and to dream but also to rest. The fact that Sakamoto is such a musical inspiration to Suga (and my all time favorite composer) and he got to meet him and work in this song with him contributing the piano work before he died. As one of his final if not the final thing he left us. Devastatingly hopeful.

I hadn't heard the album before I watched "Road to D-Day". The live performance of this song had me stopping dead in the middle to look up just WHO this guy Woosung was. What a voice!!! I've been down a rabbit hole on The Rose ever since. I do hate that this fan-made MV kept cutting away from Woosung while he was performing because his stage presence is a thing. This song/collab is amazing. Both total rock stars. And I've loved Ryuichi Sakamoto for a looooong time. Yoongi's visit to him in the documentary is incredibly moving, especially so close to his passing.

It seems to me that Suga expresses his feelings so well through his music, also he gives us what we need. We connect with his music and lyrics because we can feel them. It’s goes deep. I have no idea why some people think he is cold, to me he is the most emotional, it’s just kept under control for fear of being overwhelmed possibly. Thoughts only. Good to see Sakamoto, I remember him in Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence with David Bowie. Amazing that Suga got to meet him and work with such a great musician before he passed away. Also what a brilliant introduction to The Rose, very impressed.

This one is so moving and beautiful (Woosung's voice is incredible), and it is meant to be a source of inspiration and strength for up and coming young artists, with Suga imparting his lessons learned, etc., as well as being an homage to one of his true inspirations, Ryuichi Sakamoto, who passed shortly after Suga had the chance to meet with him in person. Luke, you really need to watch (if not react to) Suga's documentary, Road To D-Day, for it is spectacular and so enlightening-and brilliantly done. May be too long to react to, unless you want to devote a Friday evening to it (we'd all be here for it!). I think this song is Suga's personal favorite on the album as well, but all are fantastic, so yes, you should dive into it-one song at a time or however you can do it. As part of BTS's 2023 FESTA, there is a new song (for Army) debuting on June 9th (Bangtan TV)-and that whole week will be filled with surprises, etc.-including the dinner, so much is happening in the BTS world!!

My fave song in "D-Day" ever since the day it came out was "Snooze"... I loved it even more after Yoongi sang it so emotionally on Day 3 of the Seoul Final gig, he broke down halfway thru and ARMY sang the most comforting words back to him in his own song... then there's Woosung and Ryuichi Sakamoto in this song... Woosung's vocals were so haunting to me that it made me go find out more about him and that's how I went down The Rose's rabbithole and became Black Rose and Woolfpack at the same time... as for Ryuichi Sakamoto, I already knew him from his song "Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence", which is from a movie that starred David Bowie, and Ryuichi Sakamoto also acted in it with him... then as I fell deeper down this other rabbithole, I realised that I had actually loved Ryuichi Sakamoto's music for a long time, cos he was a composer involved in the Oscar-winning OST for the movie "The Last Emperor" starring John Lone, as well as the OST for one of my fave Keanu Reeves movies "The Little Buddha"... just this one song "Snooze" has led me on this whole journey, so needless to say, this song will remain forever memorable to me.

Amygdala, Interlude and Snooze are my fav songs - I have them on repeat. I feel like Yoongi and Namjoon are two sides of the same coin: Yoongi is very internalized (if that makes sense?) and brings that inner turmoil/thought out while Namjoon sees and analyzes the external and reflects it back onto himself and his inner self. Not sure if I'm wording it well but I really understand why they've been together for 13 years now - they just fit. So just a little insight into this song for you, in an interview Suga said he was dedicating this song to all his Juniors in the industry. He was especially thinking of those who have said to them that BTS was the reason they decided to become idols and chase their dreams. He and Woosung from The Rose are actually friends, and I find it quite Ironic that's who he chose to pen out a hook and sing it. Not only can you feel the emotion whenever Woosung sings or Suga raps, they faced so many hardships in the industry that they can honestly say "Hey, I 've been where you're at. It's okay to rest, it's okay to cry, it's okay to laugh. Remember your dream and why you chased it. I am here for you when you feel overwhelmed, don't give up. Look to me I'll be happy to help you." They both intonate that so well in this song, hence the reason this has become alot of ARMY 'S favorite track on his album. By the way you're correct in stating that The Rose is criminally under rated, I can only hope our boys Midas touch helps them out. Borahae 💜 and thank you for your wonderful reaction as always my friend 🫰! Edit; also the older gentleman that appears in the video was Ryuichi Sakamoto, a world renowned piano composer and one of Suga's Idols. He played the piano piece in this song. I am so glad that Suga got to meet him before he passed away!

I'm so so glad Yoongi had work together with Ryuichi Sakamoto (the man with glasses that Yoongi had handshake in this video), the Japanese legend musician before he died in this year. It's like Jimin & Taeyang, J-Hope & J. Cole, Yoongi adores Sakamoto & is a big fan.

The whole album is great. I play it every on my drive home from work. Found Woosung and the Rose from this song. All BTS music is great. Seesaw from Suga is very good and members reaction is fun. This is all coming from 70yo army and grandmother whose granddaughter introduced me to BTS. I also play the Rose album Heal every evening. Love that alblum

Chicago D-1 was insane. I have seen BTS 10 times in concert. Suga was amazing and the crowd was incredible!!! I've never been to a concert so loud, where the crowd was louder than the artist.

I love suga but I think woosong isn’t getting enough credit for this song. They have been friends for years and suga called him and asked if he could help with this song that he needed a hook and some lyrics which of course he was excited to do. Woosong is a great writer besides his voice. The two made an amazing song. I hope the collaborate on more when suga is done with his military commitment. His last live performance of this song was heart wrenching

I got into BTS because of the Rap line. Not satisfied with lyric translations I went to explaination videos. I started to learn the beauty of the Korean language and how one modifier could make a sentence be open to multiple meanings, and how cleverly and poetically RM used language. Beautiful. Then I found Sugas lyrics emotionally raw painfully truthful even when nailing his bonafides to the wall. In a way I found his lyrics more emotional. They offered far more substance than I was finding in Western music, unusual mixes of rhythms and genres. Not afraid to use allegory references or the expressing with lyrics sentiments western artists would feel self conscious singing. It was revelatory. This song was so beautiful it made me cry. Last, not least J Hope I came to really love his work later. Then I was addicted and came to love all 7 in turn.

I cried hearing SUGA perform “Snooze” @ his D-Day concert..I actually went to all 3 LA shows & 2 Oakland shows..if I could afford to see all his shows I totally would.. #Suga is an organic musical genius ❤️🔥👑..As a solo artist he is a totally different artist & performer than when he is in BTS.. both are amazing.. but #Suga performing his own music is ON ANOTHER LEVEL👑💜🙌🏼

We know. We saw the song hit your heart when Woosung started singing. I have to be honest. His voice is the best I've ever heard. Even above BTS. I started getting woozy when I heard him sing. And with Suga's heartfelt lyrics this song rips you wide open. Now you know. Now you know. You said Suga looks like a lead singer of a band. He IS the lead singer of his band. Did you see his documentary yet? PLEASE do! It will help you understand even more why he truly is a genius. He is blessed from God with a special gift that he shares with us all. I've only been introduced to rap with BTS. I LOVE BTS rap. It's Stunningly Exquisite. And poetic. And some of the best words ever written and spoken. Who knew I would be getting philosophy lessons from Korean "boys". I Never imagined it! Thank you God for Suga.

There are many many hidden gems of songs of their early days when they performed on music shows! One of them is like a Broadway show tune with Broadway style choreography. One I found they are performing in hockey gear. Not kidding! I don't remember what that song was about. But they are hidden gems. They also perform some cover songs. One of my fav is "Rain". The boys love that song. JK does a little solo bit dancing with a cane! It's marvelous. Have you seen Jimin and JK dancing to Michael Jackson's "Black or White"? It's so good! The intertwined jacket trick comes from that brilliant choreography! Just for you. It's from Festa 2018. kzitem.info/news/bejne/qHp8yXuGgpynhZw
