Two songs of gold. Both quite different, but both gave a fully nourishing and rewarding emotional experience... Thanks for watching! 🥰

CHRIS REA: a musical genius, a self-taught guitar player, a deep voice that emerged by chance, a blues-rock enthusiast... an undisputed master, a reference. Listen to REA once and become a fan forever. Thanks. [NB1: I have always considered REA's intros to be exceptional.] [NB2: At the time of these two songs, REA was playing with a Fender Strato which he called "Pinky".]

Chris Rea--mercy, he's got the Mark Knopfler genes. Like MK, his lyrics tell a story, the musicianship amplifies the story beyond the mere words. Perfection on both songs, IMHO

In the second song there is a line "...and we're looking for Maggie's farm". I think this could be a reverance to the Bob Dylan song "Maggie’s Farm"!

What an amazing duo of songs! “Curse Of The Traveler” I’ve not heard in a while, what a great song. “Looking For A Rainbow” is one of my favorites from the Road To Hell album. I’m certain I mentioned it to you a while ago, and knew you’d love it! As far as great slide-guitar players out there, I’ve gotta put Chris pretty high up there! 😊 Great week so far my friend.

Such a rich voice. Always class. Are the 'Moodies' due again soon? An unusually upbeat track well worth a play is 'The story in your eyes'.

Chris Rea was my ex's favourite but I only remember a few songs, not either of those. Such a great silky voice! COTT reminded me of Every Breath You Take, for obvious reasons and Brandon, this kind of guitar I like (I secretly enjoy country music!). LFAR is very bayou and I like it even more, the chord progression is beautiful. Thank you Brandon ❤
