Love the doo wop era!!!! A lot of groups started with street corner singing. Just fun and great harmonies.

Dion Dimucci is 84 y/o, healthy and still making great music. After his doo wop days he recorded folk, rock and blues albums; all of them with that cocky NYC attitude!

Always makes me think of the movie Peggy Sue Got Married.

Fun fact: this song was used in movies and tv shows like, A bronx Tale , The Sopranos, Peggy Sue Got Married , Christine, Diner, and Deuces wild. I also recommend you to react to dion and the belmonts other hits: "A Teenager In Love" "No One Knows" "Where or When" and Dion's solo hits like: "Runaround Sue" "The Wanderer" "Donna The Prima Donna" "Lonely World".

Great reaction!! I appreciate that you take the time to discover these oldies. Can you react to "Charlie Brown", or "Shaboom (Life Could Be A Dream)" both by The Coasters? Thanks, Stan!! 😁

The Coasters did NOT sing "Sh-boom". That was the Chords. There is a KZitem video of "Sh-Boom", allegedly by the Coasters. But it is an error. The Chords are singing it.

@@marxlover100 Thank you for the information. I had no idea. I should've known since I've listened to Sh-Boom my entire life. 😄I appreciate that. 😊Adding: The Sh-Boom I used to listen to was sung by The Crew Cuts. 😁

@@VickiCampbell-1216 Ah yes, the Crew Cuts did a cover version of that song. The members of the Chords wrote the song and recorded it in 1954. It was a rhythm & blues number. The Crew Cuts were from Canada and covered the song that same year, enjoying far more chart success with it. It remained No. 1 on the Billboard chart for an amazing nine weeks! Both versions are good but I prefer the Chords. See the Wikipedia writeup about the history of the song.
