@@kikijayquinn yeah when you look back at the 80's and 90's with En Vogue, Whitney, Mariah, Celine it's almost like the notion of today's third wave feminist is completely destroyed. Women ruled the 90's in Art and Entertainment. Did the patriarchy take a decade off🤣🤷♂️

I tell this all the time to people when listening to music from this time in my life. I lived in a tiny town in NC where RnB or HipHop music didn't get air time on the radio. We had a record store where an elderly man would order music for me and I would go pick up cassettes every other Friday when I got paid. Every time I would order something, he would look at me and and say "Sugar, are you sure this is the one you want to order? It says it's 'explicit' and has a 'parental advisory' on it". I think I was the only little white blonde buying hip hop music in town. Lol! Music has brought me so much more than just joy. It was an education for me and it brought me an understanding of things I had never witnessed for myself...truth, diversity and culture. It brought me life. To this day, it is my favorite genre. I love watching you experience new music for the first time. It brings me back to those days. Enjoy the ride fellas!
