George was a great ball player to. He played minor league ball in the Braves organization, and was considered a top prospect, hitting over 300 in back to back seasons before giving it up to pursue a music carrer

That is simply not correct. He played semi-pro for the Delaware Destroyers, who have never been affiliated with the Atlanta Braves. He was never even remotely close to being a top prospect, and I have no idea where you got these stats from. So you've either been lied to or you're just making things up.

I saw George Thorogood back in 1981 when he opened up for the Rolling Stones and J. Geils Band and this band put on a show I had never heard a single song from him at the time but after the concert the very next day I got his move it on over album and there is not one single song that isn't a hit and shows how talented this band is. I suggest you listen to the whole album and you will see how he can take a song called Cocaine Blues by Woody Guthrie old country song covered by many including Johnny Cash and make it just incredible by putting his spin on it. Then check out who do you love , another bad boy rock song.

I had delivered a supply of propane to a club in Dallas, TX called The Bomb Factory. I needed the owner to sign my service ticket, so I had to go the the front of the building to find him, and the bus for George Thorogood & The Delaware Destroyers had pulled up. George and the club owner were talking, so I waited quietly by. The owner signed my ticket, then introduced me to George... I was so excited just for the chance to meet him! George Thorogood told me he wanted to do a tribute to Stevie Ray Vaughan, and asked if I thought it would be received well? He also had one of Stevie's hats to wear for the occasion! "Everyone will love it!", I told him. Then he asked if I was coming to the show? I told him I didn't have tickets, so he turns to the owner and tells to set aside 6 tickets for ME!!&! Me and my friends were seated next to the stage, got free drinks and a meet & greet backstage after the show!!&! During the SRV tribute, George told the crowd that if they didn't like what he was playing, then he pointed at me and winked, that it's "his fault!" Definitely a day and night that I will forever remember!!&! AWESOMENESS ❤

one of the problems with choosing videos on you tube is that you're sometimes not choosing the most popular version of a particular song and "Bad To The Bone" is a good example because the studio version is more popular than the live version you're hearing here.
