I find this so funny because normally Chris stays straight-faced even when making the most absurd noises you’ve ever heard, but EC has made him so giddy he can’t help but laugh each time he replicates the screams 🤣

One has to admire your ability to deeply analyze and explain all the voice techniques without laughing a single time about the ridiculous video footage until like 15 seconds before the end. I would have smashed my forehead into the desk 15 seconds in. Great video - as always.

The first time I saw EC live since Nico joined the band, Kevin was sick and it was their biggest concert of the tour in Germany. Nico had to do most of the vocals alone and did a fantastic job. In general Nico's improvement with the harsher vocals is really remarkable. The improvement from the first concert with Nico to the last one I saw (in August) is sick. 🤯In general Kevin and Nico harmonize very well on stage.

HYPA HYPA was so good they made "album" with this entire song with different bands and genres: WBTBWB - Deadcore, Sasha - POP, The BossHoss - country, 257ers - RAP, Gestrort aber Geil - dubstep?, Axel One - Orchestral/classical touch, Saltano Mortis - FOLK metal Can´t wait for more! much love!

You should definitely check out the cover of Hypa Hypa by We Butter The Bread With Butter. They make it so much heavier and the vocal gymnastics are even wilder. Also, the video for it is a parody of this video, filmed on the same set and with the the entirety of Electric Callboy in attendance, lol.

One of the things that is so amazing about electric callboy, is that having 2 vocalists, is that while both specialize at a different thing, they can support each other, and can produce the layerings that help transition from growls to cleans, which makes it easier for them to transition from the heaviest parts to the lightest parts of the songs, and those transitions are imo probably what makes their songs so good. The transitions allow them to mix almost any genre using vocals which is pretty cool, not sure if you could do that with a single vocalist unless you used a lot of production behind it.

Love your videos with your analysis and description of the techniques used (I’ve watched countless reaction videos but your videos bring a whole new depth to their songs for me). Also great for people who think screaming is all the same and doesn’t require any talent (looking at my past self 😂). Can’t wait to see more EC! Also, I’ve seen them live and they are just as entertaining and good in person. Obviously less production to their voices but that makes it all the more enjoyable hearing a much rawer version of each song

If you end up doing "Pump It" (you should!) there's a moment that absolutely dumbfounds me, but that I've never heard _anyone_ else mention, where he does an ascending diminished scale, only every other note is screamed, while every other note is clean. Pretty sure that last ones were "pig squeal" screams. As far as vocal techniques, especially divorced from the content of the songs because they're all in German, I absolutely suggest We Butter the Bread With Butter. You specifically need to find the ones with Tobias on vocals because he's absolutely gifted. Dreh Auf is great for vocal variety whereas 20 km/h is great for just a fun song. I know WBTBWB isn't currently trending in reactions like EC is, but they actually are very similar. You could also look for WBTBWB's cover of Hypa Hypa which costars EC.
@bbowers01
11 ай бұрын
Actually, I just went back through the songs I listed and I want to bubble WBTBWB's cover of Hypa Hypa up in terms of suggestions. You should absolutely do the live version of Hypa Hypa by EC then go into WBTBWB's version... with a full and open understanding that absolutely 0 fucks were given in the production of the song and video, it is absolutely just fun dialed up to 11.
