My favourite Massive Attack song of all time. Great vocals by Tracey Thorn from Everything But The Girl. Just a beautiful song.

Massive Attack videos are art pieces in their own right. Even if you don't get them, they still add to the experience and can be open to personal interpretation. The band has always dealt with social issues, and many of the video reflect that.

In 1993 I was living in LA and went to a record store - I can't remember what exactly happened but I picked up this cd and I think the clerk at the store said it wasn't very good so I got it at a discounted price. Laugh was on them because I LOVED that CD - and this song. It became one of my absolute favorite albums and favorite bands of the 90s. They have guest vocalists, usually more than one vocalist on an album. There are several on this album - and all are amazing.

The guy's dropping his son off back to his mum after a weekend with him. Driving off without him at the end. Fantastically melancholic song, it's really beautiful.

A favorite group. Music stands by its own but the videos added so much and please remember this was back in the days when MTW was music television for real. Most requested song was Be Thankful For what You’ve got. XXX rated in several countries an only run after midnight.

I appreciate that you let the song play and just ride with the groove. It's refreshing to see young people experiencing this type of music😊 I first heard this song in a movie called Hackers back in the 90s. Blew my mind instantly when I heard the beat and those chords. Been following Massive Attack ever since❤ This song has a calming effect on the mind and soul like no other.

I love your reaction to this one! Very spontaneous and genuine as always. This is a confusing video in some ways, abstract and somewhat surreal - but one storyline I did get from it is of a father bringing his little daughter to the mothers apartment and dropping her off, after visitation, or for a visit with the mother. I remember playing this song a LOT after it came out - !

Michel Gondry is a great director. You should check out his other music videos he’s done and his movies. Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind is a great one. I also think Be Kind, Rewind is really fun and has Mos Def and Jack Black in it. Check it out

Michel Gondry is an underrated genius. If you want to, watch the movie "The Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind". A work of art. Or... Around The World, by Daft Punk Come Into My World, by Kylie Minogue (you'll flabbergast once, twice and again and again...) Let Forever Be / Go / Star Guitar, by The Chemical Brothers Human Behaviour / Bachellorete / Hyperballad, by Björk

That's the singer from Everything But The Girl (EBTG). Is this song before or after her work with EBTG?
@TheoZoffrok

Both! Everything But The Girl started out in about 1983, long predating Massive Attack, and carried on into the 2000s; they were dormant for many years, but have just made their first album in around 15 years. Tracey Thorn has a beautiful, instantly recognisable voice. Great songwriter too.
