I am not religious. But I still identify as Jewish. Matisyahu makes me PROUD to be Jewish.

How can you “identify” as Jewish? You either are or you aren’t, either religiously or ethnically or both.

I used to listen to him all the time in the early 2000’s and then forgot about him. Then this song came on the alt rock station I sometimes listen to. Now I’m going back and listening to all his songs again on repeat ❤

I actually have a funny Matisyahu story actually!! It was Shabbat (Sat morning), and we all roll into shul (synagogue) and there's a buzz, or an undercurrent going in as everyone is whispering "Is that HIM?" "What is he doing in town? And more specifically, why did he come to OUR shul to daven (pray)??" So, as one does when there is a guest or visitor in shul that Shabbat, one asks him to lead the prayer service. And if one is able (not everyone can. Or wants to), they say yes and at the right moment, step up to the Bima (where he will pray from so everyone can see and hear him). So, a hush goes over the shul. We are SO EXCITED that he said YES! And we can't wait until he gets to the singing parts.....! We all, of course! KNOW he will be amazing!!! And do you know he did not sing ONE WORD of the davening!!! Not a single word! It was crazy!

Without politician’s. This can be true. Politicians create hate and division. It’s how they get votes. We don’t need on person or party. We can live one day.
