Meatloaf was known to collapse from exhaustion after his live performances. He always left it all on stage.

This is a masterpiece and the album of the same name, one of the best sellers in the 70s. Thank you for your reaction and don't pay attention to the negative people... it's your channel and you do you! Next Meatloaf... You took the words right out off my mouth. All revved up with nowhere to go

Meat Loaf appeared in over 50 films and television shows, sometimes as himself or as characters resembling his stage persona. His film roles include Eddie in The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975) and Robert Paulsen in Fight Club (1999). He was a singer, producer and writer. Died last year complications from Covid.

I wore out so many of these tapes. You have to Two Out of Three Ain't Bad. Such an excellent song. He always gave everything to every song. This entire album is absolute perfection. Whether you react to it all or not you've got to treat yourself to the whole thing.

Masterpiece. You should do For Crying Out Loud. It doesn't have a fun music video, but it's my favorite track of the album, and it's one of the best romantic songs ever written/sung. If you love Meatloaf's voice and performances, check it out!

I grew up watching Meatloaf (Michael (Aday) when VH1 and MTV was nothing but videos 24/7. Ii I was never into hard rock but I loved Meatloaf. So many awesome songs. His Bat Out of Hell video (not live) is really cool. Very Gothic.

Good job! I love this song so much. It's perfect in every way and some reactors just sit there with a stony face the whole way through. You got it.

Hi Ace! Glad you’re enjoying Meatloaf. He was something else. There’s always energy but like you said hi low hi low. A rhythm to get you involved, very theatrical, was his way. How about; I’ll Do Anything For Love. The main reason “meatloaf” became the ‘safe word’ of the 70’s and 80’s. LOL Joe

Really enjoyed your reaction!! No one can write em like Steinman (the OTT lyrics, the tempo shifts) and no one…NO ONE…can bring an emotional performance like ML. He is simply incomparable. And his band and production always top notch. For some delicious dystopian fun I suggest 1983 Orlando video performance of Life is a Lemon. ML explodes in I’m Gonna Love Her for Both of Us official video. And of course Grammy winning I Would Do Anything for Love official video. Delightfully over the top!! So much to choose from!!

As with any Meatloaf song, the full length album version is considerably better as no sacrifices are made for time. Bat out of hell has one of the greatest opening sections of any song, and its cut entirely from this version along with instrumental sections later. Jim Steinman is a worthy musical rabbit hole. Eg- You will not have heard of Rory Dodd who backed on this and was the voice at the end. Yet he is arguably one of the most prolific backing signers in history and worked on many Steinman pieces, even singing 3 of the tracks on "Bad for Good", the album Steinman put out when Meats voice was ruined due to touring. Total Eclipse of the heart (Bonnie Tyler) is for all purposes a duet, over 1 Billlion views on here alone. Steinman found gold in the guy.
