Outcasts are what his fan base is called. The cage is an evolution - in Intro III, he was able to open the doors of the Mansion...but he's not quite free. The shopping cart and black balloons are the next evolution in the album after this one (The Search). 10 AM (7 AM for me haha) is a great time of day now - I look forward to it!! 💯😊

Nate opens the song with "Woke up in a cell, where am I at?" NF is not asking himself this question. It's a question that his true fans "The Outcasts" should know the answer to. Back on How Could You Leave Us Nate says "They say pain is a prison, let me out of my cell." So, what NF is really saying is "Woke up in pain." Later in the verse Nate says "Sing along to the pain, they love it." What has driven NF to this point in his career is Pain, Fear, and Anger. The Outcasts love him for that reason. But, Nate is on a search for the "7 letters" which is "Freedom". NF feels hopeless at this point. In order to find "Freedom" he needs to overcome "Fear". Then he needs to find "Hope". Once he finds hope then he needs to find "Joy". Once he has found joy, then he needs to find how to be truly "Happy" again. Finding hope, Joy, and Happiness will finally lead Nate to "Freedom". The keys represent the path to hope, Joy, and Happiness. NF literally holds the keys to his "Freedom", yet he still feels "Lost". This is why we call it taking the "NF Journey".

NF too much like Em and Dax

Em and NF rap about nothing similarly. Em is a vulgar, highly technical, lyricist, and can't seem to stop beefing with people. NF doesn't cuss, is fairly straight forward in his lyrics, and really only raps about himself. It's such a lazy comparison...NF has been around longer than dax, who didn't really start loading videos until 2016 and didn't really become something until like the past 5 years or so, so who is like who, then, if you're making such a gross characterizations?

In the genre of rap, how many unique styles are there really? Just exactly how many different flows can there really be? Hardly anything new under the sun at this point, id argue. Perhaps listen to some of Nate's newest stuff off his hope album....or not. He's quite a bit different than songs from the perception album. Hardly anything for me to care about either way. Thanks for the comments

Ive tried to like NF for a long time now but it just comes across as desperate.
