This song is heartbreaking but very meaningful...it's so sad how young people struggle even today when things should be better. X Japan is also a metal band/visual kei band that used an orchestra often, after all, Yoshiki is an amazing composer who writes the music for all the instruments. One Ok Rock is an incredible band that speaks of many important topics of today. LOVE THEM!!!

The other aspect of this song that I absolutely love and relate to is the conflicting messages society always gives us. It tells you that being unique is good while telling you conform - "Be you. dress right/Stand out, fit in" - just the constant feeling that whatever you do is wrong. Personally really related to this as a non-white person of trying to be proud of your own culture and heritage but also being pushed to assimilate. In the end, you end up not belonging on either side because you're not "enough" of one or the other.

The band name pronunctiation it's not One Ok (okay) Rock but "ok" without the oder letters cause it came from One O'clock that in japanese it's pronounced "wuan oku roku" (the hour they started practicing) thant creats One Ok Rock. What you just said about the black sheep...I`m the same. You are right, we are not alone in the world, One Ok Rock is one of those bands that can help us reunite, i went to their concert in Orlano florida, I`m from Chile but waiting in the line i met Min (a chinese guy), two super fun brothers from tampa and two new friends from florida (dani and tobie) and it was as we knew each other just because OOR made us reunite. That`s why i love rock music so much, i found my people in those places. In that moment I though "i`m not alone, there`s more people like me in the world" so yes...happy too be part of the black sheep herd.🤘🤩

In Japan there's an incredible societal pressure on the kids to be exceptional, but at the same time uniformity and not standing out (in a bad way) is very important as well. Still, it's incredible how Taka managed to make the song the way that it can apply to anyone in any country. All of OOR's songs are almost painfully relatable and I love them for that!

@@k_tin7083 Let me correct you, as there seems to be a misunderstanding and I may not have expressed myself well enough. Sexuality is not the subject of what I am saying. Homosexuality is just one hypothesis among many that I mentioned.

claiming to know Taka's sexuality is a weird thing to do unless he told you personally and why does is matter who uploads videos of him? Do you have statistics that men are the majority? Maybe it's just your algorithm that shows you just the videos of men reacting to him.
