Savage Garden was at one time number one in the entire world during 1996. Their first album Savage Garden won like 11 awards and featured several record breaking hits and included a number one hit in the US. They follow up that suscess with another number one hit off I Knew I Loved You. The band broke up and Darren was basically blacklisted for being gay. He has continued to sing and his music still hits. Songs like I Miss You, Crush, Black Out The Sun, Unloveable, Etc would have all been top hits if he wasn't blacklisted for coming out. He has started singing again after a short break due to one of his icons aka Kate Bush returning to music. He became a singer after attending a Micheal Jackson Bad concert as a child where he can be seen as a child in the video in the audience. He loves Star Wars.

I kind of remember it coming out him being gay. And when I think about it they weren't around much longer, but there music still was. That's a fair call I was a 90s kid born in 1987. I'd say easily one of the biggest bands of the 90s here in Australia. The guitarist went to my high school. I began in year 2000. He attended during my days there and talked to the school. There legends. Extremely talented and could of went so much further as a group. But im glade I was there to listen to them and act a fool on the bus to school hahah back when we played mix tapes

Savage Garden is amazing. The came out when I was in middle school and we play their music daily still. Even Darren Hayes more recent music is amazing. His voice is AMAZING and the messages he sends in his new music especially is so intense. ❤❤❤

All their songs were great, My Nieces would pinch my copies, BUT wit that I would have added an ''' I ""that Line in this song and had it go as ''' I Love You More With Every Breath, Truly Madly Deeply I Do "" But !! ''Truly Madly Deeply Do'' would be the best Four put together words for a line Ever, Although I DO think that Five would have IMO been Better 😵💫

Darren Hayes still sings solo to this day. He is known for his gorgeous falsetto and deep lyrics. Funny fact you don't really get to even hear him sing sing on this sing. He excels at love music and high notes.

This album was on constant rotation when I was in middle school back in the dark ages of the mid/late '90s. This was the first track on their self-titled debut album and it just keeps going with nothing but solid tracks all the way through the bonus track. Other commenters have mentioned Darren's solo career, but I love to share this nugget of trivia: the name Savage Garden is an Anne Rice reference.

Darren Hayes is the singer, and is a top singer and a solo artist nowand still doing his thing. The guitarist/ keyboards is Daniel Jones. Daniel decided after 2 albums he wasnt cut out for the success they had and pretty much called it quits, but made it like it was Darren's fault and that he was extremely hard to work with. Totally stabbed Darren in the back. This was released in 1996. We( Australia) had soooo many great rocking artists in the mid/ late 90s, they definitely were one of them. But at the time noone coluld top Silverchair, Savage Garden, then Kylie Minogue and Powderfinger.
